EPM 019EP
For the next release on EPM Music, Bryan Zentz reprises his Stare5 moniker on the new four-tracker, Void Swimmer EP. Bryan states: "It seemed fitting to bring this moniker back home to a very Detroit-influenced sound once again. That era of music is something that has always influenced me and I have always returned to as a fan." This becomes immediately apparent on the Void Swimmer EP opener, "The Adverse Within" that displays some deep Detroit bones, before the tough workout, "We Will Not". "Void Swimmer" lays down some dark and intense rumblings before the grooving "Velonaut" closes EP.

CMYK 015EP
"CMYKmusik welcomes on board a very well known artist among electronic dance music lovers: Bryan Zentz aka Stare5, who has already released many techno classics on labels the likes of Bush, Rotation, Jericho or Intec. 'Blanco Esqueleto' is fresh, funky techno straight to the dancefloor. A three-tracker of non-stop groove in the characteristic CMYK style. 'I first used the Stare5 name on Felix Da Housekatt's techno label Clashbackk in 1996. Did 2 EPs, and the sound was heavily influenced by the stripped-down music of Rob Hood, Jeff Mills, DBX, G-Man and Basic Channel mixed with a little bit of the shuffling Chicago groove.' Another Stare5 was released last year on Circle Music which was darker and more electro-ish. Now Stare5 is back mixing those old influences with the more recent sounds of today."
