CARGO 019EP
|
Sven Tasnadi always succeeds in producing warm and light-hearted tracks, both as a solo artist and together with his co-producer Stefan Schultz aka Juno6. "Caracho" is soft and cheerful at the same time and the remix by Juno6 brings out the best of filter house. "Easy Peacy" is a real summer track, coming across as very Balearic without being cheesy. "Petit Four" is a bit rougher, but later turns into a proper deep house track.

Sven Tasnadi's next harvest for Poker Flat includes deep, spooky and moody moments of next-generation deep house. "Tell Me Again" is a slow, bumping house track with supple and dynamic grinding grooves matched with slowhouse tension. Steve Bug's "I Told Ya" remix draws out the tension even further, and of course, drops in some trademark Bug elements. Flip the wax over, and you'll find Tasnadi in collaboration with Anthony Collins for a percussive journey of pumping dub techno-meets-New York house.

CARGO 012EP
|
"2009 is quite obviously Sven Tasnadi's year, having already released five EPs this year on cream-of-the-crop labels like Pokerflat, Ornaments and Liebe*Detail. Each EP revealed a new facet of the eipziger, riding the nuances between the 4/4 beat. After his EP Down Under Influence with Juno6 in spring 2009, Tasnadi now dishes up his new solo EP on Cargo Edition. 'What We Do' is a classic house track -- very deep and peppered with vocal shots that hold the tension of the track over its whole length. It's smooth, yet deliciously rough around the edges. 'Amour Fou' on the B-side surprises with a very compact rhythm -- around the driving bass drum fly percussive elements, all tied together by a reduced bassline, some interspersed vocal samples and deep chords."

After releases on liebe*detail, Smallville, Cargo, Oh Yeah and more, this is Sven Tasnadi's debut on Poker Flat. "Habanero" is a tough, tracky concoction of thick, bass-led percussion, warbling sci-fi synths, and classy hi-end hats. A groove builds, creating a 10-minute cab-ride through ultra-modern tech-house, Cuba-style -- with trumpet, or without. "Piri Piri" dubs things out as a blissful synth-line carries this track along through harmonies, phasing vocal stutters, pads and true deepness.

SMALL 009EP
|
Leipzig's new star Sven Tasnadi presents his Smallville label debut. Deeply growing and then catching the dancefloor, the A-side is simply a hit, covered by Tasnadi's fluffy beats and mindsweeping melody. The B-side offers two minimal house tracks -- chordish and sweet, to dance the night away. Smallville's one-and-only artist Stefan Marx did the lovely cover artwork.

CARGO 004EP

"After his collaboration with label head Daniel Stefanik for Cargo Edition 003, Sven Tasnadi steps up for his first solo release. 'El Fuego de Dentro' features those typical relaxed grooves that remind us of endless Mediterranean summer afterhours, hitting exactly that specific spot of abeyance between euphoric celebration and absolute physical exhaustion. His bass drum is never obtrusive but always compelling. Sven's tracks are ultimately funky, full of funny little sounds swirling around. And not to forget, with '2190 Días Contigo' Mr. Tasnadi reveals his epic qualities as well. With this record, Mr. Tasnadi definitely proves that he is a guy you need to watch out for in the future."
