"3. Ahhh already takes us to the end of our frenetic trilogy, which also comprises the noisy 1. Grrr and the fragmented 2. Tok. Staying true to the series' sound-sorting logic, 3. Ahhh features Otomo and Tétreault in a calmer, more soothing mood (no kidding!). At their own slower pace, these improvisations unfold following a linear progression. Volumes and velocities are scaled down intensity-wise, rubbings are singing and silences highlight some delicate gestures played on and with an instrumentarium already tested on 1. Grrr and 2. Tok. The listening is different but the sound quality is preserved. Grab it now to complete the trilogy." Martin Tétreault: turntables, objects; Otomo Yoshihide: turntables, objects.

"In the spring of 2003, Martin Tétreault and Otomo Yoshihide toured part of Europe in a 15-date, 16-day marathon. Out of these improv concerts, six were captured on various media : CDr, dat and minidisc. The thought of preserving these moments came naturally to the ears of our two turntablists and was motivated by the renewed pleasure of playing together and of course by the quality of the music, which, night after night, explored new forms ranging from sonic economy to something much harsher. On this second installment in a planned trilogy, they present the most fragmented on the very apt title 2. Tok." Martin Tétreault: tourne-disques, objets; Otomo Yoshihide: tourne-disque, objets.
