LP version. Red/yellow/pink vinyl. Long Walk Of The Navajo features Gary Arce (guitar), Bill Stinson (drums), and the return of Billy Cordell (bass). The Long Walk Sessions were inspired by a desert storm that hit the Joshua Tree landscape that created a dark and gloomy backdrop for the band's creativity and improvisations. "Blood Sand" was recorded at Gary's house by Steve Kille of Dead Meadow in October 2022. It was a complete improvisation. "Long Walk Of The Navajo" and "Respiratory Pause" were recorded at Gatos Trail Recording Studio by Dan Joeright in January 2023. Mixed and mastered by Steve Kille.

"First ever vinyl repressing of the legendary first album by desert rock heroes, Yawning Man. All new album art, created in concert with the band, to better fit the vibe of the album. Yawning Man, who hail from the arid desert area of Southern California, have been playing, jamming, and recording since 1986, and are a highly influential band. Most of their fans and those heavily influenced by them consider them to be 'the originators' of the entire 'desert rock' movement/genre, and their influence has reigned far and wide across the globe."

Reissue, originally released in 2016. Historical Graffiti is the band's fourth full-length. Gary Arce, the guitarist, seems comfortable sitting on a single vamp throughout the opener "The Wind Cries Edalyn", allowing the additions of violin and bandoleon accordion (played by the tango musicians Sara Ryan and Adolfo Trepiana, respectively) to weave melodies in between. Despite the titular connection to the Jimi Hendrix song, it bears no discernible resemblance to "The Wind Cries Mary" and it is a deceptive number; what seems such a simple, almost easy-listening song reveals more color with every listen. "Her Phantom Finger of Copenhagen" is slightly darker and almost sounds, with the slight distortion on Arce's guitar, as if it could have come from Pot Head, the EP the band released in 2005. Mario Lalli, the bass player, begins the third song, "Naomi Crayola" with a throbbing single note, aided by Bill Stimson's metronomic drumming. Ryan's violin returns in "The Secret Language of Elephants", this time playing the role of keeping the main vamp alive while Arce's guitar generates an evocative soundscape that opens in your mind a wide, violet sky like that above a desert the moment after the sun disappears for the night. The closing song and title track is the most free of the five on the album, with Stimson's beat conjuring memories of Kyuss's more mellow moments.

A longtime dream has been to capture Yawning Man performing in the very environment that so inspired their music. The opportunity arose in 2020 from the challenges artists and musicians faced during the Covid-19 pandemic, social distancing forcing artists to creatively adapt to alternatives to express themselves musically and visually. Yawning Man's answer to this calling is Live At Giant Rock. This cinematic concert experience is intimately and beautifully captured by videographer Sam Grant in the environment that inspires Yawning Man's spacious, expansive and cinematic music. Filmed live in the early morning hours of May 18th, 2020 in the visually stunning, and mysterious landscape of Giant Rock. In the spirit of Pink Floyd's Live at Pompeii the performance is shot on location with no audience, just the band performing their instrumental meditations in the rugged beauty of the Mojave Desert. Giant Rock in Landers California has attracted Native American nomads, scientists, UFO researchers, and travelers from all over the world, drawn by its magnetic spiritual energy.

Yawning Man continue to establish their exceptionally unique approach to rock music on their latest album, Macedonian Lines. This follow-up to the critically acclaimed Revolt Against Tired Noises (HPS 081CD/LP/LTD-LP, 2018) shows a further maturing of melody, dynamics, and emotion in the band's song writing. Yawning Man's roots lay at the foundation of the desert rock and stoner rock sub genres however the music the band creates is truly organic and visceral, conjuring a flowing imagery and an emotional response. On this release, the band has a darker and massively heavier sound than past recordings as most of these tracks were developed in live performance and then fully realized in the studio. Yawning Man returned to Gatos Trail Studio in the Joshua Tree Desert in California to record this album and the space and beauty of the surroundings is ever present in every track. Heavy, beautiful, and delicate. Gary Arce, Mario Lalli, and Bill Stinson continue to expand and dig deep with every track. Formed in the late 1980s, the lineup of Arce, Lalli, and Stinson rounds out their yearlong active recording and touring schedule. Arce and Lalli's background together date back to the start of Yawning Man with Stinson's background steeped in the SST Records world through performing and recording with Greg Ginn and Chuck Dukowski of Black Flag for several years. Yawning Man is acknowledged and recognized throughout the underground heavy music community as a key piece in the developments of the desert/stoner rock subgenres. While their contemporaries gravitated toward the heavy riffs of grunge, and post punk, Yawning Man leaned in another direction with their unique and organic, cinematic compositions and psychedelic improvisations, the perfect soundtrack to encompass the spacious moonscape atmosphere of the well documented "generator parties" of their area in the late 1980s.

LP version. The aural experience of Yawning Man summarizes as an intense yet graceful kaleidoscope of polyphonic musical textures; dramatic and flowing, dark, intense and emotional. 2018 finds the band releasing their most musically exciting recording to date with their sixth full-length album, The Revolt Against Tired Noises on the Italian label, Heavy Psych Sounds. The songs on this release are an emotional and visceral expression of pure melodic darkness and beauty. The album was recorded at Gato Trail Studios in Joshua Tree, CA and produced and engineered by friend and long-time collaborator, Mathias Schneeberger (Mark Lanegan, Greg Dulli, SUNN O))), Earth, The Obsessed). The eight songs offered here are the results of a conscious focus on the poetry in melody, finding new sounds and melodic passages that conjure visuals and express emotion and movement. Six of the eight songs are in the instrumental tradition the band is mostly know for; however, two tracks feature the rare appearance of a vocalist (bassist Mario Lalli) alongside Gary Arce's dream-weaving guitar work. One of these tracks of notable mention is the song "Catamaran", a Yawning Man song made popular by the legendary influential desert rock band Kyuss on their 1995 album And the Circus Leaves Town. The song was never released by Yawning Man, however the Kyuss cover of the song proved to be a favorite among Kyuss fans, spreading the word about Yawning Man's unique music. Yawning Man will finally release this classic, properly recorded, for the first time in their 30 years. The Revolt Against Tired Noises is just that, a statement of a unique creative chemistry that's always changing and evolving.
