Zombies are undead by nature and these ones seem to be not only not dead, but very much alive and active: Zombies In Miami is a project created by Canibal & Jenouise and despite the name they are not crawling around Miami, but shining out their light from Mexico. The couple became one of the most prominent members of Mexico's vital electronic scene over the last decade. You can call their sound a rhythmic and synth-driven house and techno hybrid, with a disco and Balearic twist, which is held together by the oh so sweet Italo drama. As the living dead always seemed to be a big inspiration for Italian filmmakers, the love seems mutual and the movie scores rubbed off on the other end as well. After highly acclaimed EPs and tracks for such diverse labels as Gerd Janson's Running Back, Jennifer Cardini's Correspondant, Prins Thomas's Internasjonal as well as Hippie Dance or Bordello A Parigi, now it's time for the great couple's first album: 2712 on Permanent Vacation. The vast experience of Zombies In Miami as a long-lasting music production team, as well as performing live acts around the world (which brought them to the some of the best clubs and festivals on this planet) culminates in eight tracks that perfect their futuristic retro sound. An ideal match for Permanent Vacation! You probably won't find a better combination of Italo arpeggio lines, house pianos, disco drums as well as sun kissed and mythical soundscapes for your summer soundtrack. Includes download voucher.

2MR 027EP
|
Zombies In Miami maintain the disco heat with their debut on Mike Simonetti's 2MR. Three tracks and one deep remix by Jackie House. "Take It Off" leads by example: strident, uplifting, and dynamically arranged so a whole new level of feels is unleashed when you least expect it. "New Odisea" takes more of a cosmic approach with its slinking bassline and soaring, yearning chords that weave and wave above it. Fittingly psychedelic, layered, and circuitous, springy riff persistently tickles under waves of evocative atmospheres in "Where Is The Voice Of That Man On Acid".

CORR 058EP

Mexican maestros Zombies In Miami return to Jennifer Cardini's label with two supreme space-aged head jams. Following disco excursions on Hippie Dance and Bordello A Parigi, the duo retreat to the shadier, heavyweight side of their signature sound with "Take Control," a glacial creeper laced with frosty electroid synths and a shouldering, hypnotic beat, and "Last Gun," which creates an ominous fog through which the sunlit arpeggios climb. The EP also includes on-point remixes from the Lipsky brothers' Simple Symmetry project and INIT (Benedikt Frey and Nadia D'Alo).

LOTR 007EP
|
Mexican duo Zombies in Miami present their three-track Snake Language EP. The title-track is a raw, haunting, drum-heavy number. On the flip comes "Calo," with its twisting riffs that wind and turn alongside percussive interludes. "Yamo" changes the pace but is no less impressive with climactic flutes and a driving bassline.

CORR 037EP

Mexican duo Zombies in Miami make a powerful return to Correspondant with two originals that manage to capture the menace, drive, and excitement of their live show. "Black Purple" is a high-octane blend of rolling bass and motorik percussion. "Shadows" initially takes a more stripped-back approach, but quickly grows to darkly anthemic proportions, with echoes and stabs eventually giving way to vocals, spacious synths, and a truly hypnotic bass melody. Italian duo Marvin & Guy debut on Correspondant with their dramatic remix of "Black Purple," built around a pumping analog bass arpeggio with added layers of vocals and synth melodies.
