"Two classic C2 remixes on one piece of wax. 'Experience' by Aquarhythms gets a dreamy, beatdown refix, creating a brooding intro with cascading synths and reverberated vocal parts. Very submerged, flowing production with plenty of phasing and flanging across thick pads and lush atmosopheres. After an extended introduction, the beat finally drops and is Detroitian in nature, with a nagging little synth hook added for good measure. Proper electronic soul music, with a sophisticated arrangement and strong attention to detail. Jonny L's 'This Time' is next under the knife (or the mouse). Again, the C2 influence is clearly audible from the outset, as a low sub-bass rhythm chugs along and will cause soundsystems to fart with delight. When the full sequence does drop, its a joyous, feel-good track but restrained and sexy with it. Lots of thick, major-key pad chords, seductive female vocal and live percussion. A bit club, a bit carnival, and very enjoyable listening. Two by-gone classics pulled out the cosmos for your late night dancing pleasure."
