Double LP version. Mikkel Metal was the first artist on Echocord and the main reason for the label's inception. After many releases, he returns to Echocord in 2016 with his first full-length album since 2008's Peaks and Troughs (ECHO 004CD). Bypassing dub-techno as the starting point, this is music clearly consistent with his earlier output. Its ten tracks evolve around a melancholic melodic framework, and while there is clearly a nod to Detroit and another to dub-techno, the overall impression is consistently and unmistakably of Mikkel Metal himself. A hypnotic, very enjoyable, and thorough return from the Danish artist.
