"With a year that has already seen releases and remixes from Tom Demac, Agnès, Philippe Autuori, Skylark, Alex Jones, Dan Berkson, Glimpse, Danton Eeprom and Sebastian Bouchet, UK-based Hypercolour has become something of a must-check imprint. Here, they bid a fond farewell to the summer with Warbgasm's
Dead Arm EP
complete with remixes from Will Saul & Tam Cooper and Plasmik. Otherwise known as Daniel Warburton, Warbgasm hails from the north of England and has a bright future ahead if this EP is anything to go by. Lead cut 'Dead Arm' is an 808 and chord frenzy with bitter sweet melodies that scream 'proper' electro subtly squeezed into a tech-house mould. It's as emotive as it is entertaining and is typical of the Hypercolour camp, where talent seems to be endless. Possibly London's finest export, the duo of Will Saul & Tam Cooper deliver the remix on 'Dead Arm' which is an excellent choice given the pairs reputation for handling melody. Their mix is a slightly more organic foray into house music, with intricate high end percussion driving the track's lazy and quite beautiful melodies along. A landmark mix for the already superb remixography of the Simple Records main man and Cooper."
