For the first time probably ever, electronic music specially compiled for the yoga practitioner. Yoga Sessions illustrates how body movement flow and sonic rhythm seamlessly merge with tracks by musicians such as Larry Heard, Joakim, As One, Wahoo, U.F.O., Ezekiel Honig, Jan Jelinek, Lawrence, 2 Lone Swordsmen, DJ Profile, A Rocket in Dub, Red Snapper, Ame and Tarwater. In cooperation with the Berlin-based yoga teacher Ana Ofak, DJ Dixon, internationally known for his deep house sets and productions, has introduced electronic music into the sphere of Vinyasa flow yoga -- a dynamic and fluent yoga style which tunes into the pulse of the breath. One pose follows the other inciting dance-like movement. To inspire mind, body and soul, and to synchronize the movement of a class, the music mirrors essential aspects of Vinyasa flow yoga. Through the music, practitioners find their intuitive rhythm more easily. Letting go of everyday troubles and the opening of the heart is subtly inspired, allowing a creative and more sophisticated introduction into yoga.
