Following One Sound/Myth EP (EPM 016EP, 2017), King EP is the second in a trilogy of EPs for EPM Music by Mark Broom. "King" is intensely addictive, with its tough, tracky groove, stomping bassline, and woven disco sample. "77" and "LX" continue the theme but with a deeper quality. The former is a dizzying number that could have come out of the windy city, but with a few touches of UK flavor, while the latter is a looped stomper, with a piano refrain and compact beats. Gary Beck offers a stripped-back remix of "King" that cuts away from the disco.
