"Pigon is Phillip Sollmann and Oliver Kargl. Phillip Sollmann is also known as Efdemin. He studied electro acoustic recording in Vienna where he met art student Oliver Kargl, also known as DJ Rndm. Together they are involved in music production and performance, and the development of the 'Rocker' software drum machine. Most of Pigon's tracks are done live with simple edits of endless sessions with their self programmed 'Rocker' software. Influenced by Detroit techno, Pigon is always looking for the perfect simple loop with subtle variations to the single instruments. Little Albio Street (done in Vienna and Berlin) is the first release on Dial Rec. after their debut on Just recordings this year and goes deeper into the marshes of techno -- focusing on classical deepness compared with rhythmical shifting patterns.
