Cold Recordings returns with a new release from label-boss Pinch, blurring the boundaries between dance floor sensibilities and experimental spaces. "Water Bomb" is finally available after many requests following its appearance on Mumdance's acclaimed FabricLive mix (FABRIC 160CD, 2015). Descriptively titled, the track leads with metallic pads and squealing electronics as a distorted bass drum builds to the break. "Cold New Worlds" takes on a more hypnotic stance, entrancing and unusual from start to finish. Brooding pads and dynamic atmospherics hold together the robotic, fidgety percussive maneuvers that rolls ever forward, constantly on the brink of collapse.
