Marcus Sur lives near Cologne, and with this 12", he shows his love for minimal. His definition of minimal, though, has more in common with Robert Hood than with recent developments, due to his love for rare groove and deep house music. This EP is authentic and cool and speaks the language of Germany's coal-mining district, the Ruhrpott. House music has always been big there, and led to the founding of one of the first house distributors in Germany, NTT.
