"The Akihabara EP is the debut of Trial & Error on AYCB. The Trial and Error principle describes a heuristic method to solve problems. A method of reaching a correct solution or satisfactory result by trying out various means or theories until error is sufficiently eradicated. Trial And Error devolved this method to their studio work, meaning they screw their analog boxes until it rocks! Akihabara 'the electric town' (Denkigai) is a town full of machines in the middle of Tokyo thus the paradise. That's why Trial & Error chose this name for their first EP. 'Sukiyaki' is an electronic hotpot out of Roland Tr 808, Arp Odyssey and Elektron Machinedrum. 'Tonkatsu' is a technoid 'schnitzel' out of Devilfish (TB 303 mod), with a bowl of Korg MS-20 and a Tr 808 & Machinedrum mixed salad. Et voilà, Bon appetit!"

"Housemeister set a high value on this 4 tracker 12". Just like with the attractive 4-color cover. About the music: 01_ bassline and bass drum are really pumpin' fat, nevertheless you can find classical song structures here. 02_ is a pretty soft but very groovy dancefloor track with the voice of Housemeister & good friend and muse Katrin Turner. 03_ 'Likelike' was arranged, composed and programmed with Playstation Portable at the beaches of Thailand. With the Rhythm 7 free software you are able to control everything with the joystick. You can find a 303, filters, sequencers and many more. Plus you are able to turn the knobs and involve your own samples... check that crazy shit. 04_ 'Radio4you' is not a classic dancefloor track, but has a bit of disco feeling in a industrialish and morbid style, more EBM than anything else -- featuring the romantic voice snippets of Katrin and that deep bassy voice of Housemeister himself."

"On/Off are Housemeister (BPC/boysnoize/AYCB) and Toktok's Fabian Feyerabendt, who's one half of Toktok and their label, Bomzh, which also released On/Off's debut 12". Now it's time for the 3rd On/Off 12" -- it is more club-oriented, floor compatible and mixable in versatile ways. All tracks originated in live sessions, always Tuesday nights, featuring man and modern man's best friend, the machines, the instruments! Either they met at Housemeister's studio or at Toktok's holy halls. The respective guest would bring 2 machines of his own, the complete setting would be assembled individually each time. All settings default, and there it goes: the legendary 303 Devilfish, MPC 4000, mono machines, machine drums, miscellaneous old synths and even more space echoes and guitar effects. The goal was to master each machine so tightly, that it could be played like an instrument, live in a track, that then wouldn't have to be cut anymore. Damn! A1, 'Strikes Back' is a straight-up rough and dirty killer. Boosted acid, noise rattles and grinds while the beats are fucked with just in time. Housemeister found vocals on Youtube years ago and now finally puts them to appropriate use."

"Nationally and internationally busy with his license to let the people on the dancefloors smile. Agent Sunshine knows his job and knows how to do it! Respected and dreaded as best record dealer in town (Freizeitglauben), he knows exactly how to satisfy his customer and DJ friends, with the hottest vinyl. This fine tuned intuition and addiction to perfectionism leads him through his productions. Heavily armed with coffee and spliffs he twiddled since a while about his first EP release. He didn't want to leave something to chance. No coincidence that Donna K aka Felix Zöpf (Freizeitglauben) joined in to double check details before mastering. His full sounds and wonderful melodies idolize the spoiled clubber straight forward. He himself describes his sound as a whiplash, whatever that means."

"Housemeister and Tony Planet present as Montagskino, the third twelve-inch of the newly-born Berlin label Allyoucanbeat. The label already made good friends with their first releases: Housemeister's Dertagdanach EP. With their hit 'Knöppedrehn' on the Hamburg-based label Liebe detail, the Montagskino team Housemeister and Tony have already proven to be irresistibly funny. With this second Montagskino output, the SherlockHolmes EP, the two build upon their long friendship, good dope, sunshine, fast food and their vast array of machinery."

"On/Off that is...that are Fabian Feyerabendt from TokTok and Housemeister. Their very first 12" just dropped on Bomzh, now the folks responsible for Allyoucanbeat present us their second outing. If you want to describe the record in short: very melodic, very old-school and definitely right for early summer. 'We Are On' with it's playful pop-beats and cheerful melody is just fine for lazy Sunday afternoons on your favourite couch, while the first track on the flip 'We Are Off' has a lovely soft house touch that drifts through the room like a sweet smelling summer breeze. To close this EP the guys hark back to the old school with the advanced acid smasher 'Together.' Fresh and raw as we like it."

"Berlin-based Housemeister from Bpitch Control and Doering from Freizeitglauben joined forces for their very own record label: Allyoucanbeat, meaning everything you can bolt down -- technoid substance to bite; else -- a platform for friends. As a launch they present 'Dertagdanach,' a melancholic minimal pumping 12": A1 'dertagdanach': A personal track to resolve the past. Introverted techno for the time after some experiences in the last two years. A new beginning with partly relief, partly a slight melancholy that goes with the melody. B1 'Cheerleaders': The cheerleaders keep time with their motto. Housemeister sampled them and put more drama to it with movie sound bites. B2 'Hotel mountpellier': A broken beat track, as dramatic as it is melancholic."
