A bastion for British techno, Blueprint Records was originally founded in 1996 by James Ruskin and the late Richard Polson and since then has continued to be at the forefront of cutting-edge labels. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, the label releases a series of releases from Ruskin and other featured artists. The first of these is James Ruskin's latest solo EP, Shortcut, which features three typically sublime techno cuts from the driving title track, via the deeper rhythms of "Hang Up" to the experimental "Drums Eyes". It will be followed in the coming months by a Truncate and Ruskin EP, a new Ruskin and Broom EP Basement Jams 2 and a special anniversary compilation later in the year.

LA's Truncate (David Flores) returns to James Ruskin's Blueprint with a new three-track EP, having made his outstanding debut on the label back in 2017 with Terminal 5. "The Bell/Initials/Timbre" comes off the back of continued deep and raw releases on his own self-titled Truncate label, his recent Truncei8ht EP for Eats Everything and Andre Campo's Ei8ht, which reached the Top 10 of Beatport's Techno 100 Chart. As a persistently in-demand DJ, Truncate has spent the summer touring the US, South America, Asia and Europe, with further gigs at renowned clubs like Glasgow's Sub Club, Belfast's Shine and London's fabric, amongst others. His new EP for Blueprint has been receiving early support from Ben Sims and of course label head, James Ruskin. Over its three tracks Truncate continues to shape his evolving Truncate sound that he launched in 2011, from the tribal energy of "The Bell", via the piquant twang of "Initials", to the deep sensibilities of "Timbre".

Blueprint returns for its first release of 2019 with a new EP from the gifted mind of label boss, James Ruskin. Reality Broadcast Off consists of three abundantly immersive cuts from this UK techno pioneer. The EP opens with its searing title track and an ever-developing kaleidoscope of percussion. "We Are Everywhere" follows, blending metallic sounds with a warmer groove, before the compressed acidity of "Disaffection", which was recently premiered on Marcel Dettmann's Residency show on BBC Radio 1, rounds off this three-pronged attack.
