Adana Twins return to Diynamic with a thunderous four-track EP titled 1983, an homage to the sound of the first year Benjamin and Friso spent on Earth. It starts off with "Clocks", an eerie dark wave, almost post punk-ish track that features the vocals of fellow Hamburg act KrakĆ³w Loves Adana and sets you right into the '80s. Title track "1983" touches back on the EBM sound of the era, with energetic sequenced basslines and a retro synths and sounds, giving you an authentic feel of that time. "Neonlicht" is the second feature with KrakĆ³w Loves Adana -- a slow and hypnotic groove, complete with 808 drums and orchestra hits. And closing off the record is "Mauro Picasso", a feature with Phunkadelica that ushers in the Italo disco era. Robotic vocals and dreamy synths transport you right to the beach clubs of Rimini. All in all, an incredibly versatile record that demonstrates the talents of the Adana Twins at its best.

If this year was a color, what shade would it be? If this year was a scent, what would it remind us of? If two thousand twenty was a metaphor for a season... what would the scenery look like? Winter In America is not a musical answer to this question, but rather an impression that Johannes Brecht has gained in the past months by observing the social climate and glimpsing at the Western hemisphere. A mixture of political ice wind, turbulent questions of faith and societal climate changes. These are also the topics that have always connected Johannes Brecht and Fetsum, personally and artistically. As big Gil Scott-Heron fans, the classic Winter In America has almost offered itself to be reissued and contextualized. Two very different friends, with two very different biographies, but a complementary view forward. Next to Winter In America, Johannes Brecht offers his track "Crystal", which was created almost entirely in a C15 synthesizer. "The track was born from a live jam. I wanted to try to create techno tracks not in a sequencer, but to play them properly and the C15 forces you to do that."

The eighth edition of the Picture series is hosted by Dutch duo Tunnelvisions. Founded in 2016, the DJ- and producer-team has seen a somewhat stellar ascent in the scene in the recent time, as their positivity-focused musical approach has been incredibly well received by audiences across the globe. Diynamic Music's Picture series is a document in time, showcasing an artist's current creative output in order to allow the listener to visualize and understand the artist at a certain moment. It is not an album format, but far more than merely an EP. Picture is various dancefloor-oriented factettes of one producer, shaping the imagery that ultimately results in the listeners mind.

A new set of tracks by RDNK has arrived in the shape of his signature future techno. After its journey, the immaterial RDNK has touched down on Earth, deeply analyzed it, and envisioned a dark and almost dismal prophecy for the planet. An array of otherworldly sounds which, in this high-octane arrangement, become the quintessence of RDNK's evaluation: If there is no resistance, there is no hope to win the fight, because closing our eyes will not make things forgotten. Read his vision through music.

The dramaturgy of "Sirius", the opening track of Frankey & Sandrino's first Diynamic EP, puts you right into the strain of mission control, mere moments before the launch. One-by-one, the different protocols are being engaged, the fumes of the carbon cooling system slowly haze around the jet propulsion engines, as the shuttle begins its slow and uncertain ascend. "Lambda" is a telescope looking into the exuberant night sky. Shifting focus. Tracing shiny objects, slow bleeps, and rapid sweeps on the near-black canvas. A collage of details, collectively creating one big picture.

French DJ and producer ChloƩ makes her debut on Diynamic Music with a rousing three-tracker. She is creating the soundscape to the portrayed landscape, and by that giving it a reference point -- a sudden impact. And this is "Last Go Round", the opening track of her EP, feels. "Revolve And Dive" follows up with an infectious bassline and synth elements that have "summer" and "open air" written all over them. Closing is "What Will Be": the layered bits of samples that morph and become part of the percussions will make it a feel-good anthem for months to come.

In 2016, Johannes Brecht and Christian Prommer started a project together called Voix Grave (DIYNAMIC 089EP), where they composed a classical piece of music together, and subsequently each made their own electronic music interpretation of it. Now, in 2019, it's time for the follow up: Page Blanche. Progressive staccato dabs on the viola set a gloomy scenery, when a gentle bassoon starts to caress the composition with its warm tones. More dark strings enter and crescendo into almost a march, then dissolving into a quiet violin whisper, only to return to full staccato force, played sul ponticello.

Almost one year after the debut Diynamic EP, Ukranian duo Artbat return to Diynamic with Upperground EP. Opening the EP is title track "Upperground", an ethereal upbeat house tune. "Atlas" showcases their ability to step over to the dark side with a fist-pumping melodic techno thumper. Closing off the record is "Don't Bring Me Down", which was written by Dino Lenny and enhanced by Artbat's brush into an emotional dancefloor hymn. After presenting his Diynamic debut Reaktor on the Four To The Floor series in August of 2018, ELAX (aka Boys Noize) is returning with his own EP named SueƱo, which is Spanish for "dream". And the title track sounds just like one, otherworldly frequencies shifting phases up-and-down like racy episodes of REM phase. Second track "Rhumba" pushes the tempo even more, with its late '80s influenced percussions and bassline, making sure to bring people to the dancefloor. As a special goodie, "Reaktor" is included as a bonus track.

Adam Port is releasing his first EP on Diynamic titled Planet 9. The title track "Planet 9" has actually already been recorded in the old Keinemusik studio back when it was still located inside Stadtbad Wedding. The guitar and bass are the works of Lukas Kay, one of Port's oldest friends from back in his punk/hardcore days. The rediscovery happened only by chance, when Solomun asked Port for unreleased material for his in-game-mix of Grand Theft Auto V Online: out of the tracks the Berlin-based DJ and producer sent, it was "Planet 9" that Solomun chose.

Alex Metric & Ten Ven's Transmission 1 EP is their first release on Diynamic. Opening track "The Q", much like the closing track "Plates", are reminiscent of old UK garage raves with a hint of acid. Minuscule shifts in the pitch give that certain cassette-nostalgia, transporting the listener back to the early '90s. The centerpiece titled "Nebula" is a driving melodic deep house tune with a hefty break that brings things to a halt right at its center, only to return with the catchy riff that is its main feature.

Artbat release their first full EP on Diynamic Music, the three-tracker Planeta. The EP starts off with the title track, a rapid-fire techno odyssey that might as well be taken from a relentless pursuit in a futuristic action movie. This is followed by the gloomy bassline of "Prometheus". Heavy on percussive elements, the track is divided by a cascading synth-break only to return with more layers of percussions, strings and the hypnotic bassline. Closing off the EP is "Sand In Your Shoes" featuring Dino Lenny, who has previously produced remixes for Underworld, Missy Elliot and Timbaland.

Although he has only started releasing electronic music in 2016, Tom Zeta is in no way new to it: he studied Composition and Music Technology in Utrecht. "Absorption" is a strong melodic techno track with sudden percussion intermezzos along the way. The techno drums of "Black Owl" take you on a nightly pursuit through an abandoned metropolis. "Rhino" is a hypnotic deep house anthem you won't get out of your ears. Italian artist Musumeci's first full EP on Diynamic. The title Mood Organs EP is inspired by a dystopian instrument from the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? (1968) called Penfield Mood Organ. In the novel it is used by future citizens to regulate their emotions by dialing in a specific number for the corresponding emotion. Musumeci later realized "we already have this fantastic invention, we call it music. Out of all the possible ways of expressing yourself through art, music is the most capable of evoking emotions."
