ECHOISM 005EP
|
"After great contributions by none other than Alexi Delano, Lydia Lunch, Jori Hulkkonen, The Youngsters, Solvent, Phil Kieran and many others, it's time for the 5th release of this Amsterdam based imprint. Echoism 005 will be an all Dutch affair with new kid on the block Peter Horrevorts combined with an additional remix by the legendary Mr. Steve Rachmad. Setting his mark with his debut album Evolver on Kanzlerambt, Peter Horrevorts' name is slowly getting its household status which it deserves. Already being supported and celebrated by international powerhouses like Adam Beyer, Marco Carola, Danny Tenaglia, Carl Cox and many other artist from various scenes 2009 will be the year that everybody will know him. Known for his straight up techno, this release shows his more melodic side with 'Labyrinth' being a masterclass in build up, groove and energy. B-side 'Mysth' is a peaktime tension builder, subtle but oh so effective that no dancefloor will resist the temptation to explode. We at Echoism HQ are very proud of this release's remix by Steve Rachmad. Rachmad has been a leading and legendary figure in the Dutch techno scene from the early '90s onwards and produced under several aliases like Sterac, Sterac Electronics, Ignacio and Parallel 9. With numerous successful releases on labels such as 100% Pure, Cocoon, Underwater, Fragile, M-Plant, Tresor, Sino, Music Man and many, many others over the years, Steve lost the count of his productions and remixes. However, he built an oeuvre that is without a doubt of a high magnitude: both quality and quantity-wise."

ECHOISM 004EP

"For the next release on Echoism Recordings we have chosen to mix some of our favorite artists which we have worked with in the last few years and have influenced us greatly. Choosing a more underground and daring concept we've asked electronica wizards Solvent & Jori Hulkkonen to produce their interpretation of Lydia Lunch's 'Master Alchemist.' Lydia Lunch must be one of our favorite all time artists. An artist who defies every categorization through conquering new territories and gaining international recognition for the innovative quality of her work. With Echoism004 we have chosen two electronic artists with encyclopedentical understanding of electronic music and Lydia Lynch to interpret and produce the soundtrack for the hypnotic master alchemist. Solvent has created his own unique version of electro-pop: too elegant and sincere for the electroclash set, too complex and contemporary to sound like it was recorded in 1981, and too seeped in the time-honored traditions of melody, songwriting and hands-on synthesis to be lost in the overcrowded world of IDM. Along with some notable remixes for Soft Cell, Alter Ego, and Adult., Solvent has also contributed standout tracks to several influential electronica compilations in recent years, including Putting The Morr Back In Morrissey (Morr Music), Disco Nouveau (Ghostly International), and Misery Loves Company (Ersatz Audio). Zyntherius (born 1973) hails from the northern town of Kemi, Finland. Raised up around the Arctic circle, below freezing point and under the influence of a cocktail of synthpop and early electro, house and techno handily available from the Swedish radio, Jori quickly developed a taste, and more importantly, a passion for electronic music."

ECHOISM 003EP

"This release of Echoism is created by Electronation's own Terry Toner. After Eat The Positive, this brand new Echoism track will give you the deep and profound Electronation summer vibe. This time the track is remixed by none other than Alexi Delano and he gives the track a nice Delano sound. We know Alexi Delano from his amazing releases on Adam Beyer's Truesoul, Richie Hawtin's Plus 8 label and his collaborations with Tony Rohr and Jesper Dahlbäck. Alexi Delano has started his own AD Limited label where he releases more neo-acid house tracks nowadays. Next to A Walk In The Dunes, the third release of Echoism will be accompanied by another great track from Terry Toner, 'Demons & Demigods' and this time in collaboration with Roel H. Roel H we all know from the first release of the Echoism label, the track Dancing Bears that has proven that Roel H and Echoism make for an excellent combination. For this release, we combined the talents of these two producers to make a smashing track, with the Terry Toner remix featured on the vinyl."
