Last copies in a Kompakt warehouse find, of this legendary post-Studio Eins series by Wolfgang Voigt! Originally released a few minimalist lifespans ago, in 1999. No cover or label art, just the word "Freiland" on the label and color coded (this first one is "blue"), in the same style as the Studio One series (which was 10 12"s released in the late '90s). Wolfgang has slowed down his production stream the past few years, but when these records were coming out, the guy was absolutely on top of the world -- and they remain as some of the finest "experimental techno" releases ever made. "After the legendary Studio 1 series, Mike Ink shifts his knowledge into the next step of minimalistic manipulation. Welcome Profan's new sister-label Freiland and watch the colors change..."

Fifth volume, and the last available release in this series (there were a total of 6 12"s originally). As issued in June of 1999, last copies, probably never to be repressed. "Transparent minimal/creaky and rockin' Voigt techno."
