Sebastian Mullaert follows his boundary-blurring collaboration with Ulf Eriksson, The Dance (Kontra-Musik, 2015), with another future-focused dispatch from his secretive sound-lab. An eight-minute freeform jazz-minded jam that owes just as much to Bugge as it does the Belleville Three, "You're an Orchestra in the Cosmos" is a luxurious groove peppered with cosmic improvisation and star-gazing spoken-word. Mullaert has invested every atom of his soul and thought into the original, his "Blinkarp Dub," and the spacious dub hypnosis of his vinyl-only Wa Wu We remix. Green label co-founder Joris Voorn offers his own deep, peak-time interpretation of the track.

A name that shines brightly amongst the identities of electronic music innovators is the ever-progressing talent Joris Voorn. Almost a decade since his first LP, the cinematic overtones that have provided such tremendous warmth in all of his productions assemble beautifully for his third studio album Nobody Knows. With a sound both identifiable and individual Joris Voorn's consistent caliber of work and attention to finely-detailed production places him in a position of undoubted consideration amongst some of the most revered producers around. Since 2009's Balance14, a compilation mix CD that saw Joris masterfully knit together a staggering amount of tracks to critical acclaim, the Dutch producer and DJ may have spent as much of his career honoring his early techno influences as he has challenging them. While many a recent tech-house cut's impact is more often a little out of proportion to its content, there's a continuing freedom in Joris Voorn's productions and spacious songwriting that defines what makes his music resonate way beyond the electronic world. Right from the moment "go" with the beatless introduction of "The Monk," the Amsterdam native provides a seamless fusion of organic and electronic sounds, and despite an array of vocal features, the multilayered, classical ambiences throughout serve as a contrast reminder of who is in control of the mixing desk. Through bright guitar, piano and synth combinations, Voorn now has a wide range of instrumental talent at his disposal; the genius of creating music that's by turn as adventurous and as sweetly accessible as a pop song. His last single release "Ringo" was one of the biggest tracks on Beatport for 2013, with huge radio support -- a euphoric, modern classic and unquestionable highlight of Nobody Knows. "Momo," with its simplistic, playful melodies, is another standout personal addition to the album, its soothing and endearing touch unsurprisingly the result of a collaborative writing session between Joris and his father Joop Voorn. Thrillingly visceral through tracks including "The Wild" and "Sweets for Piano," the LP forms a soundscape equally as dark, captivating and inspirational that makes for a unique listening experience. Even in collaborations, the acoustic subtleties that sit beneath the electric pressure in tracks like "A House" that features Ninja Tunes' Kid A are remarkable, a challenging level of compromise for any musician, yet in his latest full-length album, that also features, amongst others, Matthew Dear on his own "Green" imprint, he has achieved an impressive harmonic balance, and the results are staggering.

With his new multi-layered EP Shadows, Pitto yet again takes us deep into house music. The beautiful melody played by Woodie S, the continuous clicking pattern and the synthesized bass-line create a sublime piece of audio that has an almost supernatural perspective. The introduction of vocals accentuates the echoes of the lyrics, adding another dimension to Johannes Brecht's remix.

Joris Voorn returns with yet another masterpiece on Rejected's sister imprint Green. Not one to shy from experimenting, Joris turns it up a notch yet again with his latest release Ringo. Circulating on the Internet for almost a year as a mystery track, it finally sees its official release. The B-side includes an upbeat, reworked version of the original with added play on vocals. Without exception, this EP is a standout from the rest that will definitely be heard for many years to come.

Swiss producer Ripperton returns to present his second full-length album A Little Part of Shade, seeing his return to Joris Voorn and Edwin Oosterwal's Amsterdam-based Green label. A Little Part of Shade uses sympathetic touches of club synthetics to underline fluidly written and playful melodies. Ripperton gained popularity as a producer with his Lazy Fat People project, releasing on high profile labels such as Border Community, Planet E, and Wagon Repair; he rapidly grew as a solo artist with an almost endless run of key releases on Green, Liebe Detail, Connaisseur, Music Man, Systematic, Dessous, and remixes for Radiohead, Laurent Garnier, Ellen Allien, and Beanfield, and Max Cooper labeled him as a refined studio producer, adding a newfound sense of introspection to electronic house music. Since the release of Niwa (GR 102CD/LP) in 2010, Ripperton has been busy working on this album -- combining traditional song-craft with a more familiar rhythmic style. A Little Part of Shade's multiple programmed rhythms loosely mimic a more natural world and sees him work alongside a variety of artists including Hemlock Smith, the multi-talented writer and photographer Van Hai, and Germain Umdenstock, who features on "A Little Part of Shade," providing guitar melodies over his carefully-constructed landscapes. Drawing on the collaborative talents from his own highly-respected independent Perspectiv label, Ripperton's track "Black Wall" features vocals by Masaya and succeeds in demanding attentive listening. A Little Part of Shade conjoins emotional forces with Ripperton's fascinating use of soundscapes and contains smooth instrumentation throughout before closing with the achingly soulful "Spike," featuring Hemlock Smith's tender vocals. The 13 musically broad and emotionally deep tracks that are included on this album reflect Ripperton's approach to electronic music production, songwriting attitude, and the sense of poignant delivery that extends far beyond the purview of techno clubs.

On this highly-anticipated debut artist album, Dutch producer Pitto displays a mature and genre-defying sound. Working with a number of gifted musicians and vocalists (and even singing on a couple of tracks himself), he has taken a bold step, joining the dots from filtered house to fragile electronic pop. In a time when the LP has become a promotional tool rather than a form of expression, Objects In A Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear stands out as a truly sincere and compelling artist album. Over recent years, Pitto has invited an international cast of vocalists and musicians into his studio. Annie Mackin (from London) lends her spoken-word to "Childhood Storage" and "Childhood Storage Returns," which were written by designer Anna Nicole Ziesche (also from London). Pianist Wout Smeets collaborates on "Every Second Of U," Lilian Hak (from Utrecht) sings over the spooky chords of "Ceiling In Paris," Leonie Muller (from Breda) features on "Where My Soul Is Now" and "Goodnight," Manu Delago (from London) plays the hang on the mesmerizing "Mono Desire" and Alice Rose (from Cologne) collaborates on "When I Look At You," "Devil In Desire," "Don't Come Any Closer" and "Happy Now." Every single track has its own story to tell, but the full package offers a greater narrative, spanning many different genres. Overall, Objects In A Mirror... is a very intimate and dynamic listening experience, taking you from ecstatic to melancholy in the blink of an eye.

"Where My Soul Is Now" is the first single to be taken from the Dutch producer Pitto's album Objects In A Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear (GR 104CD). Lead track "Where My Soul Is Now" with its melancholic, jazz-infused overtones and incredible Leonie Muller vocal is a perfect snapshot of Pitto's mature and genre-defying sound. On the remix, acclaimed Swedish duo Minilogue create sheer beauty through techno.

Ripperton's Niwa has been one of the highlight releases of 2010, and continues to impress and surprise with each and every remix EP. The Swiss producer continues to enthrall with his remix invitations on Miegakure. Being presented with the tools to create, does indeed give you a head start; however, it is the vision and skill to be able to realize it that sets great producers apart. French house legend I:Cube and Berlin-based producer Mark August have created two quite brilliant masterpieces.

This is the second remix package of tracks taken from Niwa (GR 102CD/LP), the stunning debut album from Ripperton. Part 1 sees Radio Slave taking "Leonor's Lanugo" on a deep, hypnotic workout. Its warm, all-encompassing bass line works brilliantly with its tribal drum line to deliver a deadly take on the original. Part 2 takes a housier direction. Rock solid beats are interwoven with the original's string melody as bird calls and wild cats add to the suspense.

This is Deetron's debut release for Green. Whether it's creating the deepest and most soulful of house, or the grandest of emotional techno, Deetron's ability to craft exquisite, timeless pieces is second-to-none. On "Collide," Deetron's Detroit spirit is evident through the power held in its euphoric synth arpeggio, which builds constantly to its climax. "Dark Matter" is a bass-heavy, almost steppin' affair, with a darker atmosphere that is brightened temporarily by the lush pads in the break.

Edwin Oosterwal and Joris Voorn joined forces to create the 360 Soundsystem, a live act devoted to sophisticated, night-long trips for their audience using sound FX, loops and killer records. It was only a matter of time before the duo produced some music, and 360 have turned out two beautifully sophisticated house cuts. Deep, warm, uplifting, and infused with that extra touch of Dutch magic, both cuts are set to rule the darkest of basements and the largest of arenas.

This is the long-awaited and highly-anticipated debut artist album from Switzerland's Raphaƫl Ripperton, released on Joris Voorn and Edwin Oosterwal's Green label. Known for his first-class quality releases on countless respected labels such as Ovum, Rekids, Dessous and his own imprint Perspectiv, Ripperton has established himself as one of the most highly-regarded and exciting artists around. In Japanese, "niwa" means garden, and with this album, you will open your ears and emotions to singular stories, that, element by element, fuse together into a greater whole. The influences here are far beyond dark, booming warehouse parties, and are just as likely to conjure up vivid images of dewy Lausanne sunsets. Folk-tinged downbeat experiments peacefully co-exist with delicious jazz blueprints and sublime ambient soundscapes, sitting in harmony with deeply hypnotic house grooves. "A Simple Thing," with its delicate mood, immediately hints at the joys that lie within this album. An accordion, gentle, stripped-down beats, deep dub bass and the longing beauty of a wordless song. "At Peace," featuring the achingly sensual vocals of Christina Wheeler, unfolds from this beginning as a bittersweet lament. It is not until "Ecotone" emerges with an energetic, emotive Detroit bass line that the dancefloor is hinted at. The album's mesmerizing, exotic journey has only just begun as Ripperton's garden blossoms into all kinds of colors and shapes. "The Sandbox" is arranged around the looped refrain of an African children's choir and features a quirky, squeaky rhythm pattern that, combined with delicately-picked guitar motifs, hints at a vision for future electronic folk music. An astonishing, jacking bass line erupts into "Echocity" before diving deep into the downtempo, looping, angelic reprise of "L'Ardo" with its lush acoustic beauty. "Farro" unwinds into a deeply hypnotic, melodic synth exploration of joyous simplicity, as Ripperton prepares to conjure up ghosts in the machines with the dislocated, head-twisting radio broadcast that is "I Know My Place," followed by "A Simple Interlude," which returns to the source of the album's opening theme. This is only a temporary lull, as "Des Promesses De Couleurs" lifts the mood to a hip-swaying groove and "Leonor's Lanugo" explores deeper grooves, building towards the intensely uplifting, emotive piano motifs of "Random Violence," before dropping back to "A Train To Nowhere" and its Detroit dub club sway, which heralds the return of Christine Wheeler for the thoughtful finale of "Solastalgia." This is an album of ageless beauty that begs to be returned to over and over and over again.
