DJ and producer super-duo youANDme present their debut on International Freakshow. "Something" is a raw & pure monster of a track, like being morphed into a party of ghosts and dungeons. An ultra-phat hypnotic techno-tune from Berlin, full of peak-time pleasure for sweaty walls. The very special remix version is by techno music veteran Literon, responsible for numerous club-hits as a solo artist (Gerd) as well as being one-half of joint ventures like the Collabs 200 project with Speedy J.

Matt Star's "Morphology" is characterized by its enormous dynamic -- a deep & dirty roughness that comes up alongside an unstoppable kind of mesmerizing groove. "MttStr" on the flip side builds up a little more gradually. Both tracks show Matt's talent for patiently modulating sounds, creating almost extraterrestrial, fluid grooves. Both sides of the record contain several well-placed breakdowns and carefully-crafted moments of high tension before Matt lets things kick back into full force again.

International Freakshow presents crazy Spanish combo Kasbah Zoo. With "Palabras," Kasbah Zoo unleashes a damn good piece of pumping tech-house. Alongside the original are two remixes from Christian Burkhardt and Romano Alfieri. All in all, this record keeps its dynamic groove from the start to the very end and it will help you get fully loaded from head to toe.

AFFKT and Alberto Sola present a hybrid of pop and house with tuba from Alberto Cuartero, orchestra director of Hoya Gonzalo in Albacete. Added to the paella is a bit of percussion and keyboards. The main course may represent a typical Valencian plate, but by adding a little Chilean salt, it becomes international. Danny Fiddo and Felipe Venegas present an elegant and deep remix, while Darlyn Vlys' remix features a lot of groove and percussion. Finally, AFFKT gives his funkier version of events.

2008 release. Japan-only edition. Jens Zimmermann's unique sound could be defined as a bubbling, hypnotizing groove monster that fits together with labels like Cadenza or Perlon, except for the pure roughness and intensity that make his tracks kind of special. By being reduced-to-the-max on the production level, his tunes have an almost spiritual character and they develop an enormous power when they emerge through the world's most proper soundsystems. Ever been to Fabric when Ricardo, Richie or another member of the crew was dropping a Zimmermann-tune in there? Chaos. Jens Zimmermann's name should be on the lists of all serious minimal techno lovers in the world, as he has created a whole bunch of underground techno hits and all of them carry his special kind of Zimmermann'ish trademark-sound. Also includes an unreleased 17-minute version of "ModModBlubBlub."

Matt Star evokes the Arctic chill sound with "Ravedub," a track that sounds like it was recorded inside of an ice-cave. You might be reminded of the legendary Basic Channel era by this seriously hypnotizing groove monster. "Hypno's Back" can be called a worthy post-modern homage to Detroit-style techno in some way -- the artist took some of these ingredients and combined them with his individual brand of the new generation techno-style productions.

Tim Green's latest strike started to hit the floors in December '09, when his second single Lone Time came out. People STILL go nuts when this house tune is dropped! 2010 looks set to be another huge year of growth for him. "Iotan" is deep, funky, melodic and warm the whole way through, constantly guided by a splendid specimen of a bass line! "Crispy Chair" shows his more minimalistic techno side by hitting you hard with this hypnotic groove monster.

These two tracks by Nima Gorji are a crispy, warm and trippy kind of no-shit-tech-house with a twist. "Sometimes" builds up its hypnotizing power carefully, bringing the dancers' tension to the maximum level. "After Summer" is a proper, strong, and well-structured tech-house beat combined with subtle, deep and warm synth sounds. The bass line plays games with the spooky vocal samples and effects.

"The 15th Freakshow release should seriously be on the wantlist of everybody who is searching for timeless electronic dance music that is aiming at the peaktime moments of the night. It is grooving like hell by having a minimalistic approach wrapped in carefully crafted high class arrangements, hypnotically pushing & uplifting all of your senses. On the A-side, Fausto Messina comes up with 'Bafile Street', a proper microphunk stormer slightly sounding like a tribute to Baby Ford's all-time classic track 'Make a Move.' 'Bafile Street,' is a track that is more than predestinated for being found in the peaktime moments of one of Ricardo Villalobos' DJ-sets. The flipside track is a contribution coming from 2 real techno-wizards. On the one hand Jackspot, whom we know from Datapunk or Highgrade releases alongside his mate Diego. Their track, called 'Muchen,' slightly reminds us of evergreens in techno history from Mathew Herbert mixed with a bit of Wishmountain. All in all one must quote that IF 0015EP is crossing the borders of techno, techhouse and minimal techno, thus making it possible to satisfy the needs of a lot of deejays playing different and versatile styles of electronic music."

"What you will get with buying this record is an extraordinary kind of culture clash in electronic music. We have the young guns M.In, Patrick Kunkel and Basti Grub in the red corner and the blue corner comes up with no other than the legendary DJ Sneak accompanied by Mr. Harold 'Lenny Kravitz saxophone god' Todd. Some might say that the combination of names who contributed their skills and creativity to the production process of this release alone should make any electronic music freak become desperately interested in this record but if that ain't reason enough to at least give it a try, you will find 3 timeless state of the art house tracks on intl. Freakshow's 14th vinyl release, from which each one has it's unique, carefully crafted structure and arrangement. All of them manage to develop a superb uplifting energy, ideal for the upcoming hot summer nights and the daytime parties, too!"

"The International Freakshow theatre is raising its stage curtain for opening a hopefully hot summer season 2009. With our 13th release we bring you two young guns who -- so far -- are new to the International Freakshow's roster. Nevertheless Basti Grub from Frankfurt / Germany and DJ W!Ld from Paris / France will definitely show their skills with 2 massive tracks on if-13! Both tunes are properly carrying the spirit of an hedonistic summer party! The A-side comes along with Mr. Basti Grub's 'Marchgang.' His trip into the depths of electronic music lead him through all the wellknown clubs in and around Frankfurt city in the first place. Nowadays he runs his own little label called Hoehenregler, releasing quality house & techno music. His track on if-13 feels like a journey into the wonderland of minimal fusion techno. Basti's tune is one of those that are making you smile while you are rocking our socks off hard on the dancefloor! His tune 'Marchgang' sounds a bit like being the clash of 1920s music with the 21st century minimal house sound! And do you know what?! The crazy combination fully works -- give it a try folks! The flip side delivers DJ W!ld's 'Balkan2.' DJ W!ld's musical career started 13 years ago in France with his first DJ-attempts behind the decks. Today the French mastermind is presenting his sound from one continent to another, as a tireless traveler he is spreading hot underground music to the people with his technical mixes. After having started his own label Catwash together with chris carrier a couple of years ago, his reputation as a producer is constantly growing all around the planet! For if-13, DJ W!ld brings us 'Balkan2' -- an epic and massive rollin' samba-esque techhouse bomb, that has the dynamic and power to make you go nuts! This track is pure Latin groove in a postmodern shape that will deeply satisfy all of you who are into the style of artists like Ricardo Villalobos or Luciano, to name a few!"

"The International Freakshow theatre is opening its doors for 2009's spring season. Coming along with the sunny weather, we bring you another minimal house weapon that is deep, dark and dangerous! The 3 producers who are responsible for Chainletters EP belong to the next generation of the clubmusic business. These young guns are Mirco Violi, Fabio Gianelli & Sercan. During the last year they already were able to proof that the sound they are creating is definitely more than capable of competing within the international club music scene. With releases on imprints like Underground Limited, Off or Welt Sounds they gained tons of positive feedback. The well-balanced and textured grooves these guys deliver are all carefully crafted while the subliminal vocal samples and stunning effects keep the perception fully occupied as well as offering various mixing opportunities in the process. On the flipside of International Freakshow no.12 you'll find another phat, tribalish minimal house tune done by them called 'Mugatu Says' as well as some more hypnotic house remix of 'Get Around' by Berlin-based Till Von Sein who also created some really successful tracks in the past on labels like Dirt Crew records, Morris Audio or Trenton, that gained full support of various top names."

"September 2008, Nima Gorji is spending 1 month at the house of his friend babalow Baba Ifa Leri Oma in Ibiza. In Cuban Santeria, a babalow is the father of secrets, a shaman, a spiritual guide. The philosophy of IFA was brought by the slaves from Afrika, especially Nigeria, to the Caribbean islands. It became Santeria in Cuba, Vodoo in Haiti, Condomble in Brasil. The Yoruba language is used in the Santeria's books and the ceremonies as chants. Nima assisted some ceremonies where the babalow is cleaning someone's soul, energy, or aura, and established a direct connection with a special energy called orisha. Each orisha has specific attributes like a color, tools, beats, and various patterns of percussion rhythm. Nima is listening to all these beats coming directly from Cuba, he samples some parts, and produces a new EP: Azul Y Verde. 'We Are Blue' is a tribute to Yemaya, the mother of the sea. She represents maternity, fertility, and life on earth in general. Her color is blue and her number 7. The chant is performed by Lazaro Ross a Cuban artist who died in 2005. Lazaro was a legendary Akpwon, or lead singer in the Yoruba tradition. 'Warriors' is a tribute to Oggun, another main orisha. He represents the force and the work of human kind. He is working with metal, and he always carries a knife. His color is green and his number is 3."

"You may already know Matt Star (aka Matthias Schildger) from his previous releases on Weave Music or International FrEakshow or from his subsequent remixes on Hypercolour, Num Records or Opossum to name a few. In the meantime Matt also gave birth to his own imprint called Mainrecords Ltd. which he is running together with his older brother. If so, you won't be surprised in the slightest to suddenly find yourself listening to Matt's finally finished & up-coming debut album which comes as a powerful triple LP, that will also have the title Art Of M like his 1st twelve-inch on Weave Music in 2006, which was overwhelmingly successful. The platform for this brilliant work will be Weave Music's more and more developing sister-label International Freakshow. With this longplayer Matt Star is going to round off the success he has gained since his 1st release and this time he is given the chance to present his even much broader range of excellent producing & arranging skills to the audiences all around the planet. Like before the sound is still aiming on the dancefloor in the very first place! Following on from the past, Matt Star is going to amplify his growing reputation with another finely crafted selection of tunes, proving a profound understanding of knowledge that is necessary for creating minimalistic & reduced yet powerful & grooving soundscapes. The eight tracks on offer here never loose sight of these facts and with his subtle use of effects, suddenly emerging bleeps and subliminal samples or his organic and liquid sounding grooves Matt Star again delivers all ingredients that are needed to make the sweat coming down from your local club's ceilings."

"We welcome back Berovic & Leicher! After their previous releases on Intl. Freakshow, Level Non Zero, Balkon or Einmaleins, they deliver the 7th chapter of International Freakshows' discography with Hollahoppa/Ognobclub! The two new tracks on this release, come along in a very tight & powerful shape and they do not leave a doubt about on what Berovic & Leicher are aiming for -- forward is the keyword! These techno-house-microtic tunes are hyper-hypnotic in a punching way! You'll find both of 'em on the 'There-side' of this record. That leads me to introducing if-7's 'Here-side.' Hereon will get in touch with some really talented and nice guys from Paris! Masomenos created an amazing remix of the 'Ognobclub' track. This version of the tune reminds a bit of André Kraml's 'Safari,' but without all the elephants, apes and other jungle sounds. It's a really top-notch dubby mix!"

"First release is brought by one of the hottest US minimal techno acts nowadays. He runs Alphahouse Music and released a 12" for Dumb Unit. We welcome Andrew Rasse aka Butane. Butane starts the show and delivers three tracks fully loaded with weirdo kitchen samples, creepy sounds in the background and bubbling elastic basslines. Doesn't matter if 'Bang Bang,' 'I Left With A Soaking Wet Short Sleeved Dress' or 'Sine Language' comes out the speakers... we like them all."
