"11-song LP, one track in extended mix. Classic LP recorded circa 1980 in the Radics/Scientist era, this is a reissue of the 1997 pressing with two bonus tracks, but with a fresh new layout. Timeless stuff here that is the top shelf of its era."

"Wicked previously unreleased late '80s combination tune from Icho Candy and his brother Prince Junior, who are sometimes confused for each other. On the same rhythm as King Kong's 'Agony and Pain.' Lyrically about the struggle for freedom of the day, as resonant today as it was nearly 40 years ago."

"2024 repress, on original label. King Kong's 'Agony & Pain' has long been one of Jah Life's favorite tunes, released only on JA 7" in 1987, well-heavy in a sound killing style."

"Another previously unreleased killer from the early '80s Radics/Scientist days, this one was played on dubplate by Volcano in JA and Jah Life in NY, alongside other cuts of the rhythm (also eventually to be released). This is Peter Ranking the singer, not the more well-known DJ."

"Two more killer 12" disco mix sides from the Jah Life archives. On the A side is one of Barrington's best, 'Black Heart Man,' in its original disco mix from 1983, with killer Scientist dub wise. On the flip is one of the all-time sleepers from the Jah Life catalog, way under the radar since its original release in the early '80s. Terrie from the Nairobi Sisters voices the immortal 'Left With a Broken Heart' on the killer original cut of the rhythm, which follows into a dub wise melodica piece, which sounds like the maestro Augustus Pablo. Both sides are pressed using new stampers made from the original mothers, so what you get is identical to the original pressings."

"Previously unreleased on vinyl. Raw, loud and dubplate style, here's some more '87 digital madness, another killer rhythm from Jah Life's prolific late '80s production period seeing release for the first time. Three tuff vocal cuts from Michael Levy, King Kong and Conroy Smith, all backed with the same stripped-down version. As good a release for '80s digital diehards as we've ever had, turn it up."

"First time on 7". First time on 45 for this lesser-known tune, Freddie's classic 'Pretty Looks' sung on the same heavy Roots Radics rhythm used for Barrington Levy's classic 'Englishman.' Another one from the fruitful Wright/Lawes partnership that never saw its intended NYC release until now."

"First time reissue of this killer mid '80s LP cut at Philip Smart's HC&F studio in NYC. A solo album by Wiss from Israel Vibration made during a period when the group had parted ways, this one features nine vocals and one dub. A balanced mix of hard rhythms and more mellow cuts, this is a proper album made as such, and a great listen all the way thru."

"Another previously unreleased bomb on one of the dozens of killer Radics rhythms of the period, this one familiar from other cuts by Barrington Levy and Mystic Eyes. Leroy Smart may be Jamaica's finest ever when it comes to freestyling some simple lyrics on a hard rhythm, yet another piece of evidence here."

"Previously unreleased. 1987 digital fire. If the rhythm sounds uncannily like the digital productions out of King Tubby's studio at this time, that's because the rhythm was made by Tony Asher, the man behind many of the best digital Tubby's productions. However, this rhythm was made in NYC at HC&F Studio, and the vocal done in Jamaica. Have keyboard, will travel. One of two cuts on this rhythm, the other being Barrington Levy's 'Hold On Steady' (aka 'Romantic'), also out now on 45."

"B-side previously unreleased. A-side first time on single. 1987 digital fire. This track was released once before under the title 'Romantic', nearly 25 years ago in 1997 on a Barrington Levy compilation. Here it is now for the first on single with its original title 'Hold On Steady'. If the rhythm sounds uncannily like the digital productions out of King Tubby's studio at this time, that's because the rhythm was made by Tony Asher, the man behind many of the best digital Tubby's productions. However, this rhythm was made in NYC at HC&F Studio. Have keyboard, will travel. The dub is out here for the first time, as well as a great next cut by Icho Candy on another 45."

"First time on 7" for this massive cut from NYC's top female deejay, originally appearing on her classic Black Cinderella LP. Voiced on Jah Life's killer lick of one of our all-time favorite rhythms, and back with a previously unreleased dub cut in a dubplate style -- slow raw drum & bass vibes."

"First time reissue of Kaya Dub from 1975, noted as the first ever proper dub LP pressed and released in New York City. The eponymous LP is among the first set of releases on the KAYA label. This imprint was the first to showcase the partnership of Percy Chin and Hyman 'Jah Life' Wright as producers and cornerstones of the burgeoning NYC reggae scene of the day. Though these tracks originate from Jamaica thru a connection with Pat 'Jah Lloyd' Francis and have also been released elsewhere, this is none the less a killer selection of dubs from King Tubby's and Randy's studios. In sound and visuals, Kaya Dub serves as a fantastic snapshot of the music and vibes of roots reggae in the mid '70s, among the best dub LPs of its time."

2024 repress. "Totally killer previously unreleased dub companion LP to Flick Wilson's School Days LP. Jah Life was no slacker when it came to mixing dubs, and sat in with Scientist at King Tubby's for the mixing of many of the classic Junjo/Radics/Scientist albums. But more importantly, they also mixed a ton load of dubs for Jah Life himself, many of which, like this album, remain unreleased... until now! Nine out of ten tracks from the Flick Wilson album are dubbed here, and one track from the Wayne Jarrett's What's Wrong With the Youths album. Classic Scientist 1980-style mixing, nothing else like it, hard stuff. Cover features a fantastic previously unseen photo from Beth Lesser."

2024 repress. "The infamous and legendary Jah Life in Dub LP, finally released. Originally slated for release in late '80/early '81, this was to be Jah Life's first dub LP, featuring all exclusive mixes to now-classic Barrington Levy tunes. For one reason or another, the LP was never released. To confuse matters, a couple years later, some of the unused jackets were given to Germain to house an untitled dub LP of his productions. Naturally, we needed to rectify this situation. So here it is, finally released 34 years later! Featuring ten killer dubs to Barrington Levy tunes, ALL MIXED BY SCIENTIST AT KING TUBBY'S. Six out of the ten tracks are previously unreleased mixes, including a dub to the song 'Jah Life' which has never been available anywhere before. As an added bonus, the first pressing of this LP will come housed in the original jackets from 1980, which features killer artwork by Oneil Nanco."
