"Psychedelic masterpiece from 1971. Wonderland were formed in the early 1968 in Germany. The five-piece consisted of former members of The Rattles and The Tonics, both Hamburg-based, and The Summer Set from England. Signed by Polydor, they released three singles produced by James Last, including the outstanding hit 'Moscow'. The band went on tour with The Bee Gees, The Nice, and Deep Purple. Following a line-up change and internal frictions, the band finally folded in 1970, but the masterminds Achim Reichel and Frank Dostal tried to keep the flame burning as Wonderland Band and a new album called Wonderland Band No. 1. This album was recorded 1971 in Hamburg with a cast of 26 guest musicians, among them the complete James Last Orchestra. Now this masterpiece is back on 180 gram heavy vinyl, for your pleasure!"

"This CD contains all audio recordings of the legendary hippie commune between 1971 and 1974. A contemporary document. Lord's Family was a rural and music commune that was founded in Nuremberg in 1970 and lived in Beilngries in the Altmühltal from 1971 to 1974 in an old castle called The Schlössl. The group's mystical and ecological self-image, which was one of the first bands to combine German-language texts with idiosyncratic music, made them a forerunner of the ecological, green movement. The family was inspired by their psychedelic experience, the influence of Christian mysticism and Eastern spirituality. From Munich to Heidelberg, from Erlangen to Berlin, Lord's Family won numerous fans through its live concerts, but never recorded an album. The musicians hardly cared about the music market and the musical mainstream. Their special feature was the combination of improvisation as a constant spontaneous new creation with composed choruses and spoken texts as well as the integration of Bavarian folklore. Radio Bremen, Bayerischer Rundfunk and numerous print media had reported on the artistic, social and ecological experiment of the Bavarian commune, the 'Monks in Jeans'. The commune even published its own newspaper, 'Family Press', whose sales were used to support the 'Schlössl' flowed, an old hunting lodge that Lord's Family lived in Beilngries until 1974. Even though the band was reserved towards the record market, they were already making forerunners of video clips on the improvised music they produced the krautrock era stopped at the 'Schlössl' during their touring, which was followed by regular return visits from the music-making community. Musically, the musicians moved somewhere between Amon Düül II and Popl Vuh, whereby the improvisation experiments of the band became deeply independent. In 1974 the commune dissolved, of the former members Sepp Kuffer and Georg Frisch are still musically active. The sound recordings on this CD have been preserved. The music comes from tapes owned by Sepp Kuffer, which certainly do not have high end quality, but represent a real sound document -- from a busy creative time when a lot was possible."

"Dein Kopf Ist Ein Schlafendes Auto (engl. Your Head is a Sleeping Car) was one of the most interesting German formations of the exciting late 1970s. The album, which bears the title of the band's name, was recorded in 1980 and was released on record the same year. The band presented a unique mix of avant-garde rock, soul, jazz and oriental music. Hardly any other band offered this variety of musical quotes, such breathless ups and downs of incredible sounds and grooves. Roman Bunka and Dein Kopf Ist Ein Schlafendes Autor were the cultural ambassadors of that time. In addition to Roman Bunka, the band consisted of Gerald Luciano Hartwig (bass, sitar) and Freddy Setz (drums, piano), who unfortunately died much too early. The band shows their special class on the bonus track of this CD, which was recorded live in 1980. The story of this unfortunately short-lived project by Roman Bunka was even filmed at that time and broadcast on German Television ZDF shortly after the release of the record. After his time with EMBRYO (with whom he is playing again today) and AERA, Dein Kopf Ist Ein Schlafendes Auto meant a new chapter in Roman Bunka's career, which took him from guitar to the North African stringed instrument Oud, which he now is playing masterfully. Sireena Records is proud to release this extraordinary gem on CD."

"The predecessor band of Scope was called Strange Power and was founded around 1969 in Zwolle/Holland. Rik Elings, Henk Zomer (drums) and bassist Erik Raayman had founded the fusion project and had already released a 7"-single that was added to the first Scope CD as a bonus. With the entry of guitarist Rens Nieuwland in 1972, Strange Power became Scope. Subsequently, the Dutch jazz rock foursome made a name for itself in both Holland and Germany. A talent scout from WEA/Atlantic became aware of the band and hired them for his label. In 1973 the band entered the Hamburg studio Maschen to record their debut album Scope under the direction of Jochen Petersen. The result was an exciting, varied fusion/jazz rock album, which contained a lot of improvisations and perfectly reflected the craftsmanship of the four musicians. The press was thrilled and Scope went back on the streets to present the new album live. In 1974 Erik Raayman left the band, but the band continued with a surprising plan. Multi-instrumentalist Rik Elings left his place behind the keyboards Rob Franken and took over the four-string. A wise decision, because Rob Franken was one of the best and most famous jazz pianists in Holland. With this line-up, they returned to Studio Maschen in September 1974 to record the follow-up album Scope II for WEA. Like the debut, the album is a unique funk/fusion delicacy record, and Scope has become a real insider tip of the international jazz rock scene. Despite (or because of) the major deal, large record sales did not happen. After numerous changes in the line-up it came to an end in 1976. The further history of the involved musicians can be wonderfully read in the booklets for Scope and Scope II."

"Bernd Witthuser and Walter Westrupp have been active in the German folk scene since the 1960s. After Witthuser had co-organized the Essener Songtage (feat. The Mothers of Invention, Amon Düül, Guru Guru etc.) in 1968, the two musicians joined forces in June 1969 to a folk duo with psychedelic impact. (The duo can be counted on the very popular genre of acid folk then, where bands such like The Incredible String Band, Fresh Maggots, Syd Barrett and Tea & Symphony belonged to). First they called themselves W & W's Pop Cabaret, in 1970 they changed their name to Witthuser & Westrupp. The duo existed from 1969 to 1973, lived and worked together and also worked in sessions by Rolf-Ulrich Kaiser at this time, which appeared on several albums under the band name Cosmic Jokers. The third and most successful LP Der Jesuspilz - Musik vom Evangelium was produced in August 1971 in the wake of the Jesus movement. It was based on the book The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross by John Marco Allegro. The basic idea for this LP was to reinterpret the Bible. Thus, the 'Brosel' (engl. crumb) was declared the essence of life, and Jesus addresses his disciples as 'boys'. Biblical texts were musically translated and interpreted by Witthuser & Westrupp. The world premiere of 'Der Jesuspilz' took place on 25.11.1971 in the apostle church in Essen. The media response was huge, so that the duo then appeared in over a hundred churches in Germany and at German television. The songs on this album were recorded at the public rehearsal in the JZ (Youth Center) Essen a few days before the first church performance. A true historical sound document! Unfortunately, Bernd Witthüser could not live the release of this record, he died in August 2017!"

"So many words have been written about The Electric Family. That she teamed up in 1996 under the leadership of German independent veteran Tom 'The Perc' Redecker. That she has expanded and renewed constantly, that musicians from different genres contribute to the music of The Electric Family that simply cannot be classified. You know that the band does not fear to mix different styles like psychedelic, progressive rock, krautrock, folk rock, country & western, punk and hard rock. The result is this typical family sound, that animates critics to true hymns of praise, because no album sounds like the previous one. The salt in the soup are the many musicians who come to the performances and studio sessions. They are from krautrock legends such as Grobschnitt, Amon Düül II, Thirsty Moon or Lokomotoive Kreuzberg. But they also come from well-known German indie bands like Philip Boa's Voodoo Club, The Convent, The Pachinko Fake, Rhonda or the Lolitas, not to mention Pankow and Rockhaus, Die Ärzte and Emsland Hillbillies. Oh yes, with Ulla Meinecke, Angelika Weiss, Anke Lautenbach and Evelyn Gramel, the female gender has also left deep traces in the family sound. When a new studio album by The Electric Family called Terra Circus is released in 2017 -- after a break of ten years -- the sensation and enthusiasm is again great. And many young music lovers are astonished to find that there have already been a lot of recordings of the band before Terra Circus. That's why the band decided to put together The Long March - from Bremen to Betancuria. This compilation contains tracks from the first four studio albums Family Show, Tender, Ice Cream Phoenix, and Royal Hunt -- plus a few extra delicacies. It has not become a classic best-of album, the song selection is not based on their popularity but on the diversity of this exceptional formation."

"Mombasa was a European band, put together by LA trombonist Lou Blackburn (1922-1990) in 1973. All of their albums between 1975 and 1981 have been recorded in Germany. The trombone of Lou Blackburn carries the lead on most tracks -- snaking out wonderfully over the grooves, with a quality that's amazingly soulful, and which almost has him standing head to head with Fred Wesley as a '70s innovator on his instrument. Other members of the group include Doug Lucas on trumpet, Bob Reed on percussion, Alan Tatham on drums, and Don Ridgeway on electric bass. A great ensemble that knew to mix together jazz and African roots with a sound that's unlike anyone else we can think of -- quite unique in its approach to rhythms, sounds, and solos! On September 2, 1976 Mombasa entered the stage at legendary Stagge's Hotel in Osterholz-Scharmbeck and provided an inspiring and brilliant performance. The complete performance has been preserved and digitally reworked. We are very proud to present this unique audio document Lou Blackburn on Mombasa's music in 1975: 'In describing the music of Mombasa which is a mixture of rhythm, jazz, folklore, blues, spirituals and worksongs, I would prefer not to use the word jazz. Many people ask us, how to describe our type of music. To this I can only answer that I leave it to the audience because I don`t want to give it a label, for me it is simply ours, Mombasa`s music. During the 70's 'Stagge's Hotel' in Osterholz-Scharmbeck (close to Bremen) belonged to a fix part of the tour-schedules of many German and also international bands.' "

"New album by German psychedelic artist Sula Bassana. Time has come - once more: Sula Bassana walks on electronic trails again and produces an album in the attitude of electronic krautrock! After the trance-like album Kosmonauts (2010), a further album, based mostly on electronic instruments. This time, the sound is obvious more characterized by all the vintage instruments, which Sula accumulated in his Amoebenklangraum over the decades... Shipwrecked offers long and shorts, rhythmically intense but also sheer relaxed, restful tracks. Altogether, a graceful flow, which soaks in and feverish thrills the listener down-the-line: The spaceship runs ashore upon a distant planet and leaves a solitary astronaut.... who luckily has a discman, to listen to this album again and again! This is kosmische musik!"

"Here comes a release of one of the neo-psychedelic cult bands from UK: Sun Dial! Founded 1990 by multi-instrumentalist Gary Ramon who also plays in several other bands and projects. He also runs the well-known Acme-records label. Sun Dial's debut album Other Way Out was a true impact in the psychedelic music scene and is still a highly rated album! Now here's the release of their 2012 album Mind Control for the first time on CD, including two bonus tracks, from the same recording sessions, which fit into the album perfectly! What you get is a blend of long psychedelic tripping guitars, krautrock, and electronic wizardry."

"Giobia celebrate an intense neo-psychedelic-rock, who is deeply inspired by the sound of the late sixties. Next to Guitars, Bass, Drums and Organ they use Sitar, Bouzuki, vintage Keyboards and Effects to create a colourful and swirling sound. Their vocals are often in the background to produce a more far out atmosphere. All that filled with love and passion for their music. A very tasty album and a true highlight. The new album Magnifier is ready to suck you into a lysergic vortex of exotic mantras and Sabbathian rituals. The sound of the new album is heavier and darker than the past records, but always unique, and at some moments will reveal the intimate bond that we've always had with the '70s Italian progressive. Giobia has been one of the most influential psychedelic bands in Italy over the last years. Seduced by the lysergic side of the '60s, by exotic mantras and the evocative power of space-rock, Giobiais a band from Milano, Italy with many facets and one only faith, that is to turn every encounter with sound into a psychedelic experience. Giobia - comes from an ancient pre-Christian festivity celebrated in Northern Italy when a big straw puppet resembling a witch is burnt as a propitiatory ritual towards the forces of nature. All Song written, arranged & performed by Giobia."

"'Werdohl- The best pop album in German , which has been published on the market.' (Music Express 1971) German Rock classic after 45 years back on vinyl again! 1969 formed, Ihre Kinder decided to connect songs in German lyrics with rock music. Given the lack of acceptance among record labels - rock music at that time was exclusively reserved English singing bands - they produced their first LP Ihre Kinder 1969 themselves (supported by Jonas Porst). In 1969 the band signed with the newly established Munich record company Kuckuck and produced the album Leere Hände (not without a precaution to make an English version for all pieces). Kuckuck went on with the next albums by IHRE KINDER until the split in 1973. The songs of the band are known for their complex but also engaged socially critical texts on topics such as substance abuse, apartheid, detention and xenophobia. In music magazine Star Szene '77 is finally read: 'Ihre Kinder were the first German group that played rock and brought German texts ' Werdohl was the fourth album and appeared in 1971. For Germany's largest circulation music magazine Music Express Werdohl was 'the best pop album, which has been published in the German language'. This great album will appear after 45 years again on colored 180 gram heavyweight vinyl, for the first time in gatefold, limited."

"Sprawling space sounds tell stories of far galaxies - the music fuses single instruments into each other and the sound gets a swirly acid madness... This is psychedelic music without being bound to certain stylistic directions: What matters is the flow. A wonderful soundtrack for a journey to the far out vastnesses of the inner cosmos. Interkosmos were founded in 2008 by Sula Bassana (Electric Moon, Zone Six, Krautzone) on bass, Pablo Carneval (formerly Electric Moon, The Blowing Lewinsky) on drums und Sergio Ceballos (RIP KC) on guitar."

"Recorded in February 2014 in Heidelberg/Germany this release shows again its excellent live sound, which reflects the relaxed yet energetic atmosphere perfect. The music itself is psychedelic acid rock at its best and is left at the same time powerful and very trance. "The British band Freedom founded in 1967, when after the huge success of Procol Harum's international hit 'A Whiter Shade Of Pale' two musicians, namely drummer Bobby Harrison and guitarist Ray Royer, left the band and just founded Freedom. They wanted to play harder progressive blues rock, as it was en voque then. After the soundtrack album Black & White to the eponymous film by Tinto Brass as well as two highly sought-after singles released only in Germany, 1970 appeared the first regular album of the band Freedom at Last. The album was created in the studio Orange in London with Bobby Harrison (drums), guitarist Roger Saunders and bassist Walter Monagham. Here comes the first release of this album on vinyl since 45 years. After two more albums that appeared on the legendary Vertigo label in 1972 still was concluded with the band. This album, which now appears on 180 gram heavy vinyl, offers 12 psychedelic tinged and heavy blues-rock songs in the for that time typical performing style that became a real British quality concept and gained by bands such as Led Zeppelin, Spooky Tooth or Cream worldwide reputation , Til today."

"Sula Bassana and Komet Lulu from Electric Moon, all the guys from Papir and Mogens Deenfort from Øresund Space Collective met the second time - to play their first and exclusive live show together: The Papermoon Sessions live at Roadburn 2014. The very first time they ever played together, their studio album was born. Now, live, they played together for only the second time and it became a record, again. This is a 100% music haul from their material! The whole concert is pressed on CD, to please the listener and also the people who could not make it to the show or the festival. Only 2 long tracks, which include all the power and love these 6 people share in a musical way. Quite emotional, very hypnotic and trance-like, the band explores the magic of musically reverse osmosis: they melted themselves down into one creature, that flooded the people with psychedelic kraut sounds."

"Here you get the release of a one off show by Sula Bassana (who normally never plays live under his moniker), who played at the 2014 Roadburn-Festival, accompanied by a strong band! Sula Bassana is the german multi-instrumentalist Dave Schmidt. He is the guitarplayer in Electric Moon, drummer in Zone Six, Synthy- and Organ-player in Krautzone, and well known for his solo-albums, ranging from spacerock via psychedelic to krautish electronic music. The music on this record became very wild and noisy! Because of the impression-overdose from the whole Roadburn-thing. The mood on stage was very expressive and psychotic, which the listener can now experience too, due to the intense live-feeling. 'Into the red' guitar-battles, full of fuzz, tremolo and wahwah, powered by a massive bass and drum section, spiced with some Synthesizer and Mellotron sounds. The album got mastered by krautrock-legend EROC."

"In the beginning of 2014 Harry Payuta (sitar, bass, guitar, vocals), Tom THE PERC Redecker (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Marlon Klein (drums, percussion) and Jochen Schoberth (guitars) founded the project SUN TEMPLE CIRCUS and immediately decided to go on tour. Payuta had played with Mojo Club, The Electric Family and Tav Falco, Redecker came from The Electric Family, works solo as The Perc and is founder and chief of wellknown record label Sireena Records. Marlon Klein is longtime drummer of the famous ethno formation Dissidenten and Schoberth works with his several projects in the gothic/artrock scene. In mid-May the Circus started in Bayreuth, the finals took place on 28 May 2014 at the Lagerhaus in Bremen. Screen projections by oil filter projectors and kaleidoscopes and lots of fog were the coherent optical complement to the almost entirely psychedelic tinged tracks and brought something like Fillmore mood in the halls."

"After 11 years without a proper studioalbum, german spacerockers Zone Six are back with a new album! Founded 18 years ago, Zone Six is one of the oldest active spacerock / acidrock / neo-krautrock bands in Europe, even if they are lazy as hell. J The band now consists of founder member Dave Schmidt (aka Sula Bassana) on drums (formerly bass), Martin Schorn (aka Modulfix) on synthesizer, Komet Lulu on bass and Rainer Reeff on guitar. All four members also are in Krautzone, Lulu and Sula are the founders of Electric Moon and Rainer plays in The Pancakes. They met some days to freak out together and produced 4 tracks to blow your mind away into deep space! This whole thing is very groovy and psychedelic - kaleidoscopic flights are stopping the time from existing and mix it up with the space which is endless... And full of acid!"

"Krautrock classic on CD for the very first time. Quasar was recorded in 1980, a completely harmonious blend of groove, analog synthie work and krautrock. Similar to the former combatants Tangerine Dream or Klaus Schulze, Kaske had found his way. A successful way until today. Quasar appeared on the legendary Hamburg label Sky Records by Gunter Korber, that fit! On this first release on CD, a bonus track is included, containing excerpts from the soundtracks of Stephan Kaske and was edited into a collage. A listening pleasure!"
