SOLKYSS 006EP
|
The sixth release from Solkyss is a real Smorgasbord with influences from all over Sweden. Edvin Wikner, head chef and local marathon dancer, serves you an original production accompanied by a collaboration with Malmo-based Per Hammer. "Trauma Tribe" celebrates their shared love of extended morning sets -- a passion ultimately manifested at Emmabodafestivalen in 2016 when they broke Sweden's record of the longest DJ set to date, playing for 24 hours straight. The Original "Kai Saa" comes with an outstanding remix from no other than Arkajo.

SOLKYSS 005EP

Solkyss are back with a four track blender. On the A side are two thumping tracks from the Stockholm based duo Subdued Camel - one rolling deep and one soaring airily. On the B-side Solkyss regulars offer two tracks that differ in character. Zan Mang Lai & New Age's "Lonely Shark" is an afterglow tune with a driving beat set under an experimental soundscape. From Ensam comes another sun struck, funky piece with that signature cinematic dreaminess he showcased on his debut EP Eee (SOLKYSS 004EP, 2016).

Limited edition of 300. The EEE EP is the debut from Ensam, local vandal and core member of Solkyss. Born and raised a troublemaker, he dropped out of school to make his way as a musician. Luckily, he could spend his days hiding in his father's basement, which resulted in his project progressing secretly over the years, imbued with a distinct, cinematic groove and a deep, atmospheric aesthetic.

Solkyss is back! After a much-needed hibernation it's time to present a newborn baby of the family! French kiss or Tungkyss is more than a snuggle -- it's a musical collaboration with a common love for warm analog machines, late night jam sessions, and a playful approach to life. Yuma EP is the result of all of the above -- a straightforward collection of up-tempo tracks. The title-track comes with a perfectly crafted remix from Spain's uncrowned king Pablo Bolivar.

Solkyss proudly presents the debut EP from Paresse -- master of cinematic disco & Balearic slowness. The Grand Fall EP is a dreamy, melancholic journey with three slow-burners that will stay in hearts (and bags) for a long time. Paresse is the alias of Stockholm-based producer Ivan Berggren. The title-track comes with a remix by Locked Groove, who has transformed the track into a 10-minute long hypnotic open-air banger. Perfect for those early mornings -- it's been tested and it works. Vinyl only. 300 copies.

SOLKYSS 001EP
|
This is the first release from Swedish label, Solkyss. Born in the deep forest of northern Sweden, Solkyss is a loosely-connected group of artists known for their vibrant open-airs in the outskirts of Stockholm. The first release is a blend of local acts starting with Coronal Loop, who starts off with the uplifting, pad-driven track "Deep Wide Far," which comes accompanied by a remix from MANIK. Ensam delivers the Latin-inspired party-starter "Someday We'll All Be Free." Finishing up comes the dreamy, melancholic piece "Look to the Source" from Paresse, a master of Balearic slowness and deep cinematic disco. Vinyl only. 300 copies.
