Billy Dalessandro is back with a new album called Boomers, revealing Billy at his best, showing a lot of craftsmanship in multiple areas of electronic music. Travelling around in the deserts of the world opened up his perceptions and a plethora of new ideas unfolded. To celebrate this occasion in splendor, Soniculture is releasing a VERY LIMITED edition of the album as a picture disc vinyl, containing four selected tracks. A gem to hold for days to come. A travel through electronic music, without styles. A free-fly discovery of new dimensions. Let yourself be surprised.

2LP version. Soniculture, the Lisbon-based label, proudly presents Billy Dalessandro's fifth album. This project forges a new generation of production style and sound design for Billy as he cocks the shotgun of his latest experiment in electronic debauchery. Cracktime sonically defines those innocent and naughty moments that each of us exhibit, in our own way, that helps to fulfill our lives with all those insane memories we carry with us back to the grave. Thirteen tracks round out this ring match in a dub-infused, 303-injected, Chicago-style bassed-out fight that lasts just about an hour. So sit back (or jack back) and remember -- that if religion is the opium of the masses, music definitely gives us our daily crack.

Soniculture presents the second and last volume of the remix project for Billy Dalessandro's Polis (SONIC 003CD), with four great floorfillers for the most demanding audiences. Exercise One takes "Only Your Touch" through a ride of arpeggiated bass lines and dark grooves, drifting into uplifting moments. Jason Emsley takes a darker path down the techno lane and creates a mind-blowing version of "In The Red," with his own processed vocals. Also features remixes by Brian Ffar and Expander.

Billy Dalessandro's Water To Wine EP plays around with new frequencies and soundscapes that blend neatly. "Water To Wine" takes us on a journey through space. With the TB 303 bass line in the background and long synth pads, the composition sounds ethereal. "Neuron Hunter" features the TB 303 again, hypnotizing us and leading us through hyperspace. A bit darker then the previous track, it is yet another approach to what we can now call sideral dance music.

Soniculture is proud to present volume one of the remix project for Billy Dalessandro's Polis (SONIC 003CD), with overwhelming versions from a selection of the hottest techno producers around. Alexander Kowalski offers a passionate and emotional version of "Only Your Touch." Elias Landberg crafts a rough and naughty version of "Call Girl," ghetto Detroit-style. Nhar presents an acid version of "Nanomachines," coloring it far darker. Re:Axis take a more minimal approach, with attention to fine detail and exemplary sound design.

2009 is poised to be the year where techno makes a true comeback. Chicago-based producer Billy Dalessandro needs no introduction. He has been there to witness the many changes techno has gone through in the past decade, and offers Polis as his response. Featuring 11 tracks, his debut album for Soniculture (and fourth artist album) is a look at city structure ("Polis" being the Greek word for "city") and the crumbling facades amidst urban decay. The world is headed into one of its most uncertain times, and that fear is reflected in these dark productions that Dalessandro created with late nights and early mornings in mind. The titles alone refer to a possible renegade dystopian future-world, and the sonic soundtrack is minimal, true Chicago dance music that is textured with impeccably tidy melodies and unhooked structures. For from the darkest hours, great things often emerge, and when music historians look back on 2009 as the year that techno made its comeback, Polis will certainly be among those works receiving great praise.

"After having published more than 20 EPs and two full length albums, Billy Dalessandro arrived at the first league of worldwide respected producers. His third album, Into The Atom, can be seen as a milestone of the Chicago-based musician's history. He publishes a mixture of Chicago style funk and deep minimal electronic style. Here are 3 gems born out of his virtuosity you can't miss. A1: 'Soulchaser' Undercover Mix -- highly addictive and percussive, slightly forward-oriented track with great spheres. 'Great' has to be written with triple 'e' because it uses a dramatic element which pokes out of the deep and tricky basement. Playful effects and intelligent beat programming sum up to a really special atmosphere -- somewhere between -- but precise as hell!"

Double LP version. "Second album. Starcity lies where past meets the future: jacking tech-house beats and machine funk meet carefully programmed beats, digital noises and catchy, albeit somehow disturbing, vocal snippets. There's also a good handful of old school acid thrown in for good measure."

"Second album release on Resopal for the man of the moment Billy Dalessandro: a while ago this 29 year old producer from Chicago was hustling around his hometown, occasionally providing beats for local hip hop acts. His new album Starcity lies where past meets the future: jacking tech-house beats and machine funk meet carefully programmed beats, digital noises and catchy, albeit somehow disturbing, vocal snippets. There's also a good handful of old school acid thrown in for good measure -- on track 'transatlantic' you can hear the hip hop roots as well -- and as the result we have 12 superb tracks, the ones you are always paying attention for while hearing them in the club."

"From his Chicago-based headquarters, Billy Dalessandro strikes back and delivers a nicely dosed package of lush minimal house tracks slightly powdered with a reminiscent to the Studio 1 series of Profan. With his new 12", 'Citlilife', Billy proves that his roots are in the micro-house scene, with his former releases on well-known labels as Force Inc., Resopal, Kompute and Fabric London compilations, as well as his debut album Midievalization."

"If you are looking for boarder-breaking pieces of real Chicago Techno beats, Billy Dalessandro's fresh album Midievalization and the label Resopal will share the same emphasis and the labels seventh release surely will do his job too. No need to introduce this Chicago guy anymore. In shortest period Billy has risen to one of the most demanded young American producers and is a mainstay for energetic, yet effective groovin' Techno. Recent releases have been launched on labels as Force Inc., konvex|konkav and of course Resopal. After his last 12" 'Dark Matter' which already gained huge support from the likes of Miss Kittin, Diggler, e.g., this here is a step forward of this promising talent: Billy Dalessandro's debut album Midievalization features minimal and energetic Techno just right for the peaktime as well as it refers to the good old sounds of Chicago. All in all Midievalization features some real floor damaging material."
