Did you ever wonder what happens when a living legend remixes an absolute Eskimo classic? The answer lies in DJ Harvey's "Beach to the Bar" remix of "Mediterraneo" by Dr. Beat from San Sebastian. The lively track overlays a steady stomp of a beat with clattering drums, a walking bassline, and a bit of guitar shredding to create a full-force groove. Now also available on a heavyweight 12" with a special laser etch. Limited pressing of 500.

Dr. Beat aka Jaime Sagastibeltza started his career as a DJ in the late '80s, in the middle of the acid house movement. In the early '90s, he started playing in KU San Sebastián, the mother company of the infamous KU Ibiza, and was very influenced by the Balearic sound. In 2000, Dr. Beat released a promo vinyl with the Balearic hymn "Mediterraneo." It became a hit when DJ Harvey included it on his house mix compilation. Now, several years later, Eskimo Recordings re-releases "Mediterraneo," including a remix by Sunshine, the man behind Dubtribe Sound System.
