On the night of April 3rd, 1980, the iconic post-punk band Joy Division descended upon the intimate stage of the Moonlight Club in West Hampstead, London. The venue, dimly lit and shrouded in an aura of mystery, provided the perfect backdrop for the band's melancholic and atmospheric sound. The raw power and emotional intensity of their performance served as a testament to their artistry, leaving a lasting legacy that continues to inspire generations of musicians and fans alike.

Massive as Joy Division were becoming, they still played Shit-Holes like this former, partially demolished, cinema in Derby. The old seats were still in place, except for a few that were torn off of their perches to allow dancing, if required. Again, another cavernous sounding audience recording, and again they are treated to a joint band version of "Girls Don't Count" for the rarity value. Due to cancellations, probably due to Ian's failing health, this would turn out to be the penultimate Joy Division performance, before the loss of Ian Curtis.

The University of London Union show took place on February 8, 1980, just a few months before Ian Curtis's death. The 12-song set list was mostly based on songs that would end up on Closer (the band's second and final studio album) but also on classic singles such as "Love Will Tear Us Apart" and "Digital". The band was in fine form with Curtis leading the charge into their own gloomy, psychotic, atmospheres. A quintessential live album and a real treat for any Joy Division fan.

Collection of 14 tracks with unreleased material from the band. Pink vinyl version including material from the RCA Demos from the aborted first LP project (1978), the Genetic Records session (1979), Strawberry Studios (1979), Central Sound Studios where the band unsuccessfully recorded "Transmission" the single (1979), the Piccadilly Radio Session (1979), the Graveyard Studios recordings with rough rehearsal of what became New Order's songs (1980). Despite the band's short existence, there is no doubt that their sound has left a sign on music fans and performers alike.

Limited restock. For the first time, you have the opportunity to taste these creations in their rawest formats, alive and unleashed . More austere, more claustrophobic, and more haunting than the studio works, they show an impeccable encapsulation of everything the group sought to achieve in a crude version. Ruthlessly testing effective despite notorious lack of suitability, the live sets are also vital reminders that these purveyors of almost untamed sadness were human too. Recorded at various locations, A1, A5 and B2 Live at Paradiso - Amsterdam, 11/01/1980. A2 and B1 Live at Lyceum Ballroom - London, 29/02/1980. A3 and B3 Live at University Of London Union - London, 07/02/1980. A4 Live at Winter Gardens - Bournemouth, 29/02/1980. B4 Live at High Hall - Birmingham, 02/05/1979.

Limited repress. Complete BBC Sessions; all the Peel Sessions plus two songs performed live on the Something Else TV show on Sept.1, 1979. Recordings are especially significant, featuring Curtis and company performing in full glory. The recorded performances themselves are of exceptional quality, and help dispel the myth that Joy Division was not particularly good in a live setting. To mention two examples, the takes of "Transmission" And "She's Lost Control" even take on a much more aggressive quality than what was originally put to tape. As a bonus, a three-minute interview of Curtis and Morris is also included, providing a valuable look at the Human side of one-half of the band.
