"It took a long time that this release stands on his feeds now but we re really proud that it happened now! But first a few words to the Ltd in our name. It has nothing to do with the number of pressed releases or the color of the cover. No. It just says that we grabbed out tracks that are really old or really special but that have a very special place in our hearts. We won't do that again in a regular time schedule and we won't treat it as an own label form. We'll just show a part of our past plus some little presents from the present. Therefore we chose the name Ltd. Klaro, that we're also really proud to present Jacek Sienkiewicz as remixer as well as Mr. Statik and Koba for this incredible release from Sutekh, originally released in 1998 on Drop Beat. As far as this new 'Influenza' has some changes in the collection of the tracks, the doctors gave this release the name Influenza B. A1 is the original version of 'Dirty Needles.' An absolute killer track directly pressed for the maintime wherever you play. Armies of reverbs and colons of sub-basses make this travel possible and throw your mind far behind the enemies lines where a last battle against yourself takes place. A2 was originally released on B1 but that doesn't matter anymore cause 'Ad Nauseum' can be pressed wherever you want and it will kick your intellect to the happy hunting ground. Three Indians will stay there waiting but they don't know for what. B is a Polish form of the dangerous virus 'Dirty Needles.' Jacek Sienkiewicz is the discoverer of this trippy strain of Influenza. 10 min contact with this will make you instantly dance and cause a total brainsenoverkill!"

Sutekh aka Seth Horvitz presents Elephant & Obelisk, exploring a range of styles from bouncy techno to high-tech broken beats, giving more than a passing nod to classic Chicago sounds along the way. "Unstern" starts things with an appealing bumpity groove and a tasty free-electronic interlude. The B-side sports "Zuur," a modern and warped take on "Wild Pitch," and ends with the classy and menacing broken beats of "Ubu Rex."

"Killer glitch-tech-funk 12" on Soul Jazz Records! Since 1997, Seth Horvitz, aka Sutekh, the San Francisco-based artist, has released consistently inconsistent electronic music on a wealth of international labels; Force Inc./Mille Plateaux, Soul Jazz Records, Source, Background, Plug Research, Leaf, Cytrax/Delay, Tektite, and his own Context. Manipulating and abusing computers, samplers, synthesizers, ping pong tables, and found sounds, he has created everything from minimal house and techno to dense, dissonant noise collage."

"Spanning 70 minutes and 27 tracks, Context Unravelled showcases six years and 16 adventurous releases on the San Francisco-based Context label, many of which have been available on vinyl only until now. In addition to Cali-techno heroes Sutekh (founder of Context), Safety Scissors, Twerk, Kit Clayton, and Dave Aju, the mix features a Plethora of international talent including Portable (South Africa/UK), Ben Nevile (Canada), Murcof (Mexico), Klunder (Australia), and Wang Inc. (Italy). A myriad of production techniques and cultural references are seamlessly integrated into this gripping, beat-driven narrative, from the spacious, orchestral soundscapes of Murcof to the silky dub-house gymnastics of Ben Nevile to the razor-sharp, algorithmically crafted techno of Twerk, to the African-inflected rhythms of Portable. Taken separately, each release reflects the personality and background of each artist, but with the aid of two turntables and a mixer, Sutekh has alchemically fused them into a captivating mix. About Context Free Media: founded in 1999 by Seth Horvitz aka Sutekh, the San Francisco-based Context label has remained a platform for music which presents the listener with more musical questions than answers. While Context has strong roots in dance music, most notably techno, it explores uncomfortable areas where this definition makes no sense. Never afraid to take chances on new talent, Context has released debut recordings by artists such as Safety Scissors, Portable, and Murcof, all of whom have gone on to record critically acclaimed full-length albums on Plug Research, ~scape, and the Leaf label."

"Soul Jazz's 'Microsolutions To Megaproblems' series continues with a new single from San Francisco's minimal electronic pioneer, Sutekh. Manipulating and abusing computers, samplers, synthesizers, various acoustic instruments, and found sounds, he has created everything from deep, minimal house and techno to dense, dissonant noise collage. Sutekh's latest single Two Vireos is his latest double-sider. 'Red Eye' is a Sa Ra styled broken beat with acid-bassline under an epic arrangement with strains of Theo Parrish/Moodyman and even Kraftwerk. 'Black Capped,' in contrast to the A-side -- returns back to the sounds of early Aphex Twin and Detroit's Underground Resistance style minimal techno."
