Hot on the heels of the transcendental Vibe Telemetry long-player from Telephones (RB 008CD/LP, 2016), Running Back present Vibe Remixes. A producer named Call Super remixes an artist named Telephones: a skippy dub journey that recalls an atmosphere that could be found in the space between Smith & Mighty, the LTJ Bukem of his youth, Italian house records, British Balearics, and bass affine music. DJ Fett Burger provides fifteen minutes of almost every style ever invented in the scope of house music. Designed for people with everlastingly short attention spans and DJs on the lookout for a toilet/coffee break.

2x12" version. In times where a compilation of 12-inch bangers passes as an album, Telephones's debut album Vibe Telemetry opts for a different approach. Without being a departure from his 12-inches for Sex Tags UFO, Full Pupp and Running Back or his brilliant remix work for José Padilla and Vangelis Katsoulis, the Norwegian producer from Bergen who calls Berlin his home, hones sound, skills and aesthetics on his debut long-player. Vibe Telemetry is inspired by the pure feeling of listening to house, disco and techno, prior to knowing what it actually was: ambiguous, euphoric, mystical and melancholic, sonic and physical experiences, which names and origins were yet to be discovered. Sleeve designed by DJ Fettburger.

Love On The Rocks is back, this time with a true summer release. Norway's Telephones offer the beautiful Mediterranean house anthem "Lotusland," backed with remixes from Discodromo and Gatto Fritto. "Lotusland" appears here in two distinct versions. An irresistible melody takes the influences of early '90s NYC clubbing but with that uplifting European touch so loved by Italian producers of the day. Italian duo Discodromo take Lotusland to a soft-waved shore to get some discoid sand between their toes, while stellar producer Gatto Fritto shows his genius with a spaced-out electro-boogie wig-out, full of laser lights and seductive reverbs.

Dial RB+47 for Telephones. Known for his releases on Sex Tags UFO and Full Pupp, as well as for dapper facial hair, the Norwegian Berliner graces Running Back with an island fantasy of his very own. Immured in the sands between the beaches of Rimini and Sant Antoni, The Ocean Called EP evokes the lucid dreams and hazy visions that pale club kids always had of these places. Think vintage Irma and Calpyso Records done in a modern way, or Tony Humphries in swimming trunks. Four tracks, four waves of joy as rhythm tools and cool spots. Barefoot in the head 4ever.

Another debut on Full Pupp, Henning Severud is Telephones hailing from Bergen but recently relocated to Berlin. He makes the kind of uplifing melodic disco most people would tag as something silly like "Balearic beach house" -- yes, it's pretty Balearic (it does remind of Nik Kershaw in places) and we're dancing around like happy little girls to his cool contemporary disco. As a special treat, Prins Thomas regurgitates the track with a little gastric acid -- yuck!
