If there's one word that keeps cropping up around Tensnake's sophomore album, it's change. Change musically. Change emotionally. Change in scenery. Named after the city that he, until recently, called home, L.A. introduces listeners to a different take on the German DJ and producer's sound whilst quenching Tensnake's thirst for progress and growth. It's this strong desire to keep moving forward that finds one of the most acclaimed house producers of the decade offering a different version of himself across the glittery, sprawling 14-track expanse that is L.A. It's an album committed to the power of Tensnake's beloved pop music, which seeps through in album tracks such as "Automatic", his take on The Pointer Sisters' classic. In many ways, L.A. is a love letter, one that allowed him to pour his heart out to the city that inspired him, and that he's now left behind. This album is about Tensnake evolving, getting better. Not content to just produce house music for the rest of his life, he put a lot of effort, love, and energy into this record. And they're great songs. Songs that will find the right people. Just like the city of L.A. found Tensnake. Features Boy Matthews, Fiora, Nazarene, Cara Melín, Swedish Red Elephant, Chenai, Daramola, and HEXE. Gatefold sleeve.

Following the success of Freundchen EP (TREP 013EP, 2016), True Romance revisits the disco anthem with this hot hot hot trio of remixes. On the A side, Red Rack'Em puts "Freundchen" through his cut-and-paste wizardry, delivering a heavily filtered, bass heavy, hypnotic disco version. On the flip, Lauer cranks up the groove and unleashes the pianos for a classy house rendition that oozes sunshine and smiles. Russian producer Phil Gerus gets gritty on his take, bringing the track on a mad chopped-up Italo road.

Berlin's True Romance is back on the disco train for their fifteenth release. Label boss Tensnake is at the wheel this time with two irresistible tracks. First in line is the sci-fi infused "Machines", a catchy slow analog burner with deep synthetic bass lines, etheric melodies and floating French vocals - the perfect soundtrack to blissfully cruise the foggy, neon-drenched nights of a dystopian future. "Black As Flies" slings the listener back under the blazing sun. Starting with sultry vocals and a stripped down disco-not-disco vibe, the track morphs into a unique blend of Italo-Zouk madness.

Tensnake channels the disco gods once again and presents Freundchen EP. A frenzied, sun drenched package filled with dance floor magic. The title track "Freundchen" features a raw and infectious bassline, filtered funky loops, thumping rhythms and blissful vocal stabs all blended into an irresistible disco bomb. On the flipside, "Tazaar" brings the heat up with a killer African groove brilliantly combined with classic house vibes. "No Fool" plunges into the depth of the nights going into a darker hallucinatory trajectory with its minimal pumping kicks, dreamy synths and echo-drenched vocals.

Tensnake presents Desire on his own True Romance imprint. "Desire" is a slow and low 112bpm dancefloor burner, a dreamy groove with hazy vocals, airy guitar, and exotic synths. The flipside, "Fantasma," is a trippy acid disco number that flirts with Balearia and psychedelia.

The Walk/Keep on Talking Remixes features remixes of Tensnake's Keep on Talking/The Walk (TREP 007EP, 2015) by André Hommen and Gerd Janson. Hommen, the creative producer and label manager of Dennis Ferrer's Objektivity imprint, remixes "The Walk" with a deep, minimalistic beat and a smart breakdown that introduces the original's melody. Running Back cofounder Gerd Janson's "RAW Mix" of "Keep on Talking" features powerful drums and acid-tinged synths with a piano-led breakdown echoing the original melody. The vinyl-only "RAW Beats" version is a beats-only version of the "RAW Mix."

Tensnake's 2009 standard In the End (I Want You to Cry) gets not one but seven remixes. In a nod to the good old remix-double-pack craze of the '90s, they're spread out here over two plates. Ranging from a classic Tiger & Woods treatment to Prins Thomas quirkiness via Lone's happiness, two versions by Shan, one from the timid DJ Oyster, and Pete Herbert and Dicky Trisco's respectful rearrangement, this one has it all -- disco, techno, jungle (almost!), house, cheese, and chocolate!

German DJ and producer Marco Niemerski aka Tensnake follows two 2014 shows for BBC Radio 1's Residency alongside Gerd Janson, and a 2014 tour schedule that took him from Panorama Bar to A Club Called Rhonda, with "Keep on Talking," a tingling, infectious cut defined by an exuberant bassline and lush, wandering synths. "The Walk" takes a darker, more minimalist tone with slinky, staggered house beats. Building to a crescendo of strings amid a flurry of synths full of compacted energy, this is a record that sees Niemerski return to the sound of his iconic Coma Cat (PERMVAC 049EP, 2010).

Features a special 12" mix edited by Gerd Janson, accompanied by remixes from Duke Dumont, Ewan Pearson, and Jonas Rathsman.

Last limited repress of 300 units in the original cover. Rooted in New York's sweaty boogie dreams and with a soft spot for dazzling house music, In The End stays true to Tensnake's juicy techniques. The title track concisely defines the dilemma of lovers: in the end, someone always has to cry. "Holding Back My Love" is a slow-motion disco robot bomb with Tensnake on the mic. "TheThenUnknown" melts the moodiness of early Factory records with the atmosphere of Kenneth Dixon Jr.'s "Misled."

The solo project of Marco Niemerski (also of Arp Aubert), Tensnake has done remix work for Junior Boys and Alexander Robotnick and here presents his debut release for Permanent Vacation. "Coma Cat" brings sunny, cosmic euphoria and blissful optimism to the dancefloor by way of a gigantic synthy bassline and old-school piano stabs. Turn it over for an exclusive dub mix of the digital-only "Need Your Lovin" alongside another disco-house stomper, "Get It Right."

Hamburg-based artist Tensnake has released on his own label Mirau and Radius. Many people know about him from his remix work for Junior Boys and Alexander Robotnick. The title track is reminiscent of the sound of Norway disco artists like Lindstrøm. "Congolal" is romantic, pure '80s disco-style and "Tavira" is DFA-style disco house.

Tensnake continues to advance the belief in the dynamism of a good sock hop on I Say Mista, where cosmic synthie gales and spring reverb-claps abound. Once again, Tensnake works with remix support from Audision, evoking an eerily pleasant '90s weekend atmosphere. "Look to the Sky" rounds it all out with airiness.
