Celebrating 22 years of Josh Wink's cult acid classic "Sixth Sense", Ovum invited Shlomi Aber and Louie Vega for a set of remarkable updates. Louie takes the lead with a whole menu of mixes that provide total mix creativity. The lead mix hits with that essential New York swing. Stripped back to its naked form, the drums bump you into submission while a rubber ball bassline and Ursula Rucker's signature spoken word lock you down. Vega's remixes are joined by two twists from long-time mate Shlomi Aber. His is a pumping, up-tempo techno twist that nods to the original.

Wink -- does this name need any further introduction? Philadelphia-based Josh Wink is one of the pioneers of techno and allied styles. Now, this is his debut 12" on Poker Flat, and holds two strong tracks in typical Wink style, both infected with his sophisticated 303 lines. "Thick As Thieves" is almost ten minutes of Wink-ish madness, modulation and transformation. "Acid Tonic" brings us some timeless and funky acid. Going on and on and on and on... superb work that will drive your crowd completely nuts.
