This limited-edition vinyl release weaves together vintage samples, archival snippets, and hypnotic beats, crafting a personal and collective memory trip. 14 tracks of euphoric highs, hazy melancholy, and wry humor. The artist, DJ, and producer Autarkic (Nadav Spiegel), one of the most influential underground figures in recent years and a key player in TLV electronic scene, releases a new Hebrew-language album, available as a limited-edition vinyl and on digital platforms. Tahor is Autarkic's sixth album and his second in Hebrew. It is entirely composed of a mosaic of samples from his personal music collection, cuts from archival recordings, and historical references that hint at events that shaped him. The result is a personal and collective memory machine -- 14 tracks that take the listener on a journey through euphoric joy, subdued melancholy, and playful sarcasm. Tahor is a journey that emerges from Autarkic's private consciousness, offering a sober reflection on his unwavering insistence on being an artist who neither knows nor wishes to "play the game" for popularity ultimately finding peace with himself. Throughout the album, Autarkic ventures beyond his own mind into the outside world, confronting social and political realities and adding his own musical document about life in Israel.
