Alex Warren, AKA Kiwi, debuts on Futureboogie Recordings for the label's closing release of 2016. The versatile producer serves up four tracks of deep and driving underground goodies. On his Futureboogie release, Kiwi blends energetic Italo styles on lead track "Orca", whilst "Minke" fuses gnarly technoid house with deft melodies and soft touches. The spatial synths of "Logman's Break" creates a highly infectious earworm of a track and the brass melodies freestyle over a sturdy production, whilst the closing "Pygmy" gets spaced out with tweaking acid bass and moon stomping beats.

Bonar Bradberry and Tom Thorpe, AKA PBR Streetgang, return with a gutsy, big-room floor filler in 12.32. Clocking in at over the 12-minute mark, PBR are given the space to really work the elements, which result in a magnificent production that will really work some dancefloors. On the remix, London based producer, Fort Romeau, works his magic. Keeping the pace and mood pumping, and remodeling the melody riff, Fort Romeau takes the listener on a deeper, more cosmically energized trip, soaking the synths in reverb and cranking up a touch of distortion to keep things raw and vital.

Luke Solomon & Jonny Rock present Frangpian To L.A., backed with a remix from DJ Fett Birger & Jayda G. "Luca Frangpian" stomps with a funky bass lick, incessant cowbell wrapped up in guitar licks and idle piano keys. The "Dub Mix" lets the synths get all "freaky deaky" on yo ass. "Groovin To L.A." features an understated vocal hook, filtering around vintage disco tropes of horns and sweeping strings. On "Groovin To L.A.", DJ Fett Birger & Jayda G provide a gentle melodic rendition, the distorted yet supple percussive beats propping up summer vibes.

Futureboogie present Pedre Son Enclat from Ron & Neil, AKA Ron Basejam, and Neil Diablo. "Pedre Son Éclat" is a breezy yet sturdy slice of atmospheric synth dance. A remix comes courtesy of Man Power aka Geoff Kirkwood. Man Power crafts a moody and spacious version that respectfully stays close to the original mix. "You Feel It" ramps up the funk; the tribal rhythms, horn blasts and other micro samples keep the arrangement lively. Rounding off the release is "Tears". Tension building strings and beats lay the foundation for some grandiose analog arps, soulful vox and funky guitar licks.

Birmingham-based DJ and producer Mark E, an ever-dependable exponent of the real and raw house music vibe, returns to Futureboogie for the first time since 2014, following releases on his own Merc imprint and revered labels like Spectral Sound and Running Back. On "Basement Trax 1," distorted synths wander over a low-slung beat alongside marching hi-hats and filter work tweaked to perfection. The gnarly bass and classic string sounds of "Basement Trax 2" are delivered in the finest wild-pitch tradition; the raw production packs a punch as the stomping drums and repetitive keys ramp up the heat for a real blazer of an underground club cut.

DJ and producer Felix Dickinson presents his second full-length EP for Futureboogie and perhaps his most accomplished work to date, created with legendary Chicago vocalist Robert Owens (Fingers, Inc., Frankie Knuckles). The "Classic Mix" delivers classic Chicago house elements in abundance, with Owens's vocals sounding great as ever alongside Dickinson's authentic, energizing production. The "Dedication Mix" features the musical directorship of Mikey Yamada and live bass and guitars by Tsuyoshi Kosuga. Brooklyn-based Justin van der Volgen, supplier of fine sounds to labels like Golf Channel and Boogiefuturo, also joins the party with a version that further complements Owens's vocal prowess.

Argentine multi-instrumentalist and producer Fernando Pulichino has been releasing music since 2001, as a solo artist and with Silver City and 2020 Soundsystem (alongside Ralph Lawson and co.). Pulichino's Futureboogie debut opens with "Ride On," featuring driving live bass and overdubbed electric guitars modulating around an arpeggio synth soaked with balearic vibes. Stripping the original way back, DJ Nature aka Milo Johnson (Golf Channel Recordings, Jazzy Sport) builds the groove naturally in a laid-back departure from the original. "Mid Decade" is a melting pot of synthesis, harmony, and crisp drums, while Pulichino's love of a pumping bassline shines through on "Trespassing."
