"This is the 2nd part of the Faze series from Sam Rouanet aka Reynold (boss of Trenton records) with one hell of a track called 'Straight Into The Wall,' a straight up (real) shuffled groove with nice chords and a killer electro bass line! The remix from Till Vons Sein is definitely as good. Deeper. Great work from Till though; he is really on the ramp right now and we will see more of his work on the upcoming Trenton releases. Also a new signed artist on the label is Der Thal that is giving us a remixed version of the 'Craft' tune from Reynold's Faze Part 1. Finally a more 'Toolish' but still great remix from Yappac & our boy Daniel.FX, perfect for long ass sets and after party freaks. We call that a hit record, right?"

"Der Thal has been playing all over Germany and he's been trying to build up his own sound and skills. After making a great remix of Reynold's track 'Craft' on Trenton 027, he is now giving us 3 tracks. Mentona EP is a bit of a journey into what Trenton use to be about at the very beginning, with a techno that is very close to the old school Detroit vibe. In Der Thal's music there are a lot of melodic sounds and tough, tight beats to keep us on the ground. 'Mentona' and 'Maszo' are floating on air with strings and synth lines when 'Puston' reminds us more of some 'tejada' grooves! A great EP from Der Thal, who is definitely on the way to become one of these great young gifted producers that care about music."

"A third EP on Trenton from Theodor Zox and his Copenhagen grooves! Moodswinger is a bit of a more housey record but still with Theodor's recognizable touch, short sounds and shuffled beats. Still, Theodor explores new corners of funkiness while making sure he gives you that bounce. On the 'Moodswinger' remix, Reynolds re-interprets the track with different keys. As it's his forte, Reynolds drops some cinematic shit in the middle before bringing back the funk hard. All that and he still manages to keep the track tight and solid. The 2 tracks on the inside are a bit more experimental and make that record a perfect tool for early, peak-time and after hours sets."

"Samuel Rouanet aka reynold aka Duplex 100 (together with Phil Stumpf) also boss of Trenton is releasing here his first full EP on his own label. After a year of serious boredom when it comes to techno music and especially what is the so called minimal sound, he decided to release what is his own vision of dance music. 'Poison in My Mind' has a strong bass line and triplets chords that drives you while the melody comes in and out. 'Blue Steel' is more of an old school anthem with strings and Detroit vibes. 'Craft' is what Reynold does the best, electro deep cinematographic tune, close to the work he did on Persona with his My Favorite Films album. Like it or leave it."

"If you ever went clubbing in Moscow you probably ended up at Mix Club, the most popular underground after party club in town, and you probably heard Alexei Meshkov and all the 'deep mix' radio guys playing quality music in front of an educated crowd! Alexei has been playing electronic music in Moscow for more than 10 years alongside people like Anton Kubikov (SCSI 9) and Boris Romanov (DJ Onlee). He is also a talented producer under the name of Nooncat with releases on Salo, Treibstoff, M.I.S. and Trenton. This new release shows Alexei's skills for building solid minimal tech house grooves. Subtle trancy synth lines and massive beats, these two tunes are the most representative work he has ever done on Trenton. On the B-side, a remix from the new young minimal prodigy from Frankfurt: Matt Starr. A record for the floor, that's what we're all about."

"A great musical journey into beautiful, soft and deep sounds. This is Action Painting: our summer release by Touane aka Marco Tonni. Touane is been quite active in 2006/2007 with a full-length on Trenton, several EPs and one album called Figura on Stewart Walker's imprint, Persona Records. This is the 3rd release by the prolific Italian producer and friend on Trenton Records. A very spacey first side with two tracks called 'Corvo Molto' and 'Towards Narita.' Both tracks will give you this feeling of walking on air and even though the arrangements are quite complex, the music flows and the grooves keep on building up. The 45 B-side is a bit more up-tempo with tougher beats and proper bass lines. Once again there it is, an amazing record from Touane, one of the most inspired electronic artists of the past two years."

"Born in Australia, but moving to Japan in 2000, Luke Le Mans is the main organizer of the night 'Quop' in Osaka which focuses on bringing big international DJs to create a scene in the roughest Japanese city. After releasing his debut EP on Trapez, Luke is back with this 2 tracker on Trenton. Much more mature, his talent as a producer are undeniable and we hope that this will be the beginning of a long series of old school but yet modern minimal material for Trenton. 'Dark Helmet' has dry beats and a funky bass line with a crazy chord's pattern that has some sort of a B horror movie vibe... like a minimal techno version of a Dario Argento's soundtrack, 'Dark Helmet' will bring you out-there! The second track called 'Lisa' is a bit more old school but still rules and the endless loopy bass ramp that just keeps on building up will make your legs feel a bit less heavy and your mouth a bit thirstier. SLG is back on Trenton, but for a remix this time. After is very first EP on our label we are proud to have him back. His version of 'Dark Helmet' is just outstanding... pure SLG style, it has it all: Detroit, minimal, forward, groovy... if you are still sitting in a club's corner after hearing that on the PA.... means that you have serious issues with being able to feel the funk!!!"

"After her first Sticklip EP, P.toile is presenting her new production on Trenton records. Unnamed after one of the most exiting and innovative be-bop saxophone player, 'Bird' is a 2 tracker. The original 'You Little Birds' has a typical P.toile's funky bass line with a massive chord break and minimal hard beats! A great track for after parties or openings or even at pic time if you are someone with taste: on the B-side the same tune remixed by the hot Berliner of the moment: Format B! After their excellent and successful track 'Otopussy,' they're back with the same punch and then again, absolute quality music on T-rec."

With John Tejada remix. "Till von Sein and Aera are back for more! After this last year of minimal music's orgy and before we are all starting to transform ourselves instantly into computer geeks while we are on the dance floor, our 2 homies are on to some deep house melodic grooves! Deeds almost sounds like a John Barry's James Bond theme, with hit chords and its melodic bass line, revisited by John Tejada (an honor for Trenton) in a more 'straight to the floor' way. Kurtney is definitely tainted by some serious old school deep house and even has a Pepe Bradock's flair, but of course the funky drumming edits are here to remind us of TvS & Aera's ability to build up beats. A simple record, straight and honest! Nowadays we feel that is what's needed."

"Copenhagen is been one of the most creative electronic minimal nests of the last couple of years! People like Trentemøller, Martinez or Hansen & Daniel, labels like Tic Tac Toe, 3rd Floor or Echochord have been so productive, creative and successful, that it basically put the Danish capital on a map! Theodor Zox is no exception and after a couple 12"s on Morris-Audio, releases and remixes on his home labels Tic Tac Toe and 3rd Floor, he is now on the ramp to be 'the man with the groove!' Minimal yes... but funky even more!!! Rolling bass lines, driving chords and a great sense for arrangements, he is spoiling us with three amazing tracks! 'Run Away' and 'System of Play' are two typical Zox cuts! Sharp hi-hat and fat snare sounds with some weird abstract synth lines and vocal samples, that just gives to the whole thing coherence and personality! Two solid DJ tools to use with NO moderation! 'Question Suggestion' on the B-side is for us a masterpiece! All Theodor's musicality and also his ability to make people dance are in this track. It's deep and it has such a strong character that it can be dropped at any moment and it will get you anyhow and every time! A great bass/synth hook line with some Oriental melodies."

"There it is, the second episode of our 'various' series. With this time again great talented artists and friends from all over the German planet. A1: After their very impressive release on Trenton TvS and Aera are still on the ramp with their typical chordy old school minimal housy sound. We just can't get enough of it. A2: After a great debut on Trenton and more recently a mix CD (Past, Present, Future) P.toile is back. Sharp snares, powerful kicks and beautiful chords, she didn't lose her touch indeed. B1: As always on our various, there is a special treat. This time we're having the cool duo from Highgrade/Berlin: Format B. A more minimal but soooo solid DJ tool. Filtered UK-style bass lines and minimal tech beats with a touch of groovy percussion...all is in there. B2: A very expected debut of our teammate Daniel.Fx...part of the Trenton team and an amazing DJ, Daniel is going old school minimal Chicago style with a touch of minimal electro clicks...Together with a secret agent guest named Wagner...hmmm."

"After a first record on Trenton, our favorite Italian artist Marco Tonni aka Touane is back for more! Usually a bit darker on his home label, the excellent Persona, it seems that Marco's musical approach on Trenton has a more summer feel! And we won't complain! Three amazing tracks then, the first one called 'Gum' has great bouncing bass lines, very housy and with the typical Touane noisy background... light and sweet! Perfect summer track! After that, the cut 'Riviera' geeks a bit more minimal with more clicks and less cuts. 'Accordi' is the 'driving' tune of this record, a killer groove and a great melody, it just has it all and once again Marco has such a personal way to make all this shaking! As a remixer we asked our dear friend Ron Schneider aka Raumagent Alpha. Known for his rockets on Festplatten, Ron tortured that track at a point where you would think that even Villalobos could be shocked to hear this crazy re-treatment."

"The label Trenton is located in Berlin but banks on international sound. Artists hailing not just from the usual nightlife centres such as Paris or Berlin, but also from the undetected music scenes in Poland and Russia. Trenton is definitely real precursor of the European idea. The different ancestry of the producers provides the necessary openness and dynamic that avoids the sound becoming pigeonholed. But the heart of the electronic dance music was still beating in Berlin. So P.toile and her mate Reynold moved from the shadow 19th century Eiffel Tower to within sight of the communist styled 'Fernsehturm,' the Berlin TV tower, into the creative mess of Berlin Friedrichshain, bang in the middle of the vibrant club and bar scene in the east of the city. Having a booking agency (Famous Berlin 'Clique Bookings') and the record label put P.toile in a prime position, compiling the line-up for parties in the city's clubs, which helped shape the contemporary Sound of Berlin. The popularity of this sound has been growing for several years abroad leading P.toile to travel all the way across the continent, from Bilbao to Moscow, providing the hot minimal shit the fans are longing for. P.toile had this audience in mind when she compiled and mixed Past Present Future. A gift for friends -- and a long-lasting memory of sweaty dancing nights." Featuring: Todd Bodine, Phil Stumpf, Nooncat, Touane. "After collecting great tracks from all over the world and from people that are close to us as artists and friends we've decided to do a 'various' which will eventually be the first one of several for the upcoming year. A1: Todd Bodine presents something a bit different from his usual minimal funky music... a track that has definitely a pop appeal, a great melody and a very typical sound. A2: Part of the family, Phil Stumpf with one of his 'rocket'. That track is so funky and yet very minimal... Definitely a great shuffled DJ tool for people who like to shake it... B1: Alexei Meshkov aka Nooncat with one of his typical dry and therefore crystal production. B2: Once again Marco Tonni aka Touane is on the top of things... An unbelievable tune made with incredible classy sounds."

"A new Trenton release for the upcoming Polish Duo! They are back again with three ultimate dancefloor tracks after already two releases on Trenton and labels such as Trapez ltd. and Crosstown Rebel. On the A-side a first cut called 'Jack In': a solid minimal tech-house-electro groove and a bit of acid lines building up in the break... just a classic party tune that works. Followed by 'Antypatia,' more old school minimal, a simple bass line, a tight beat and a 'rim-shot based African-syncopation flair'. The B-side is epic... as the title says (2 minuty po tym means 2 minutes break in Polish) a loooong break with classic Detroit chords! Definitely Trenton branded: Forward with chords and groovy beats."

"After releasing the first Trenton record Samuel Rouanet and Christophe Clause aka Reynold and Aspro are back. Here they managed to create a subtle mixture of Aspro's strong bass line and tight grooves and Reynold's soulful chords and minimal beats. On the A-side the track 'Angle' starts with a rolling strong bass line coupled with a very 'breakbeat' oriented rhythm. Still a strong straight 4/4 kick is here to support the techno pulse of the track. The whole thing is enveloped by Detroit chord's style that goes on and on. The B-side is deeper -- a beautiful chord sequence surrounded by click & cuts sounds and a groovy bass line. Soft and forward at the same time, this tune is probably the best work that both of those guys accomplished so far... The symbiosis is there and it is 9mn of pure ecstasy."

"Alexei Meshkov aka Noon who was born in the old beautiful Russian city of Smolensk. His previous releases were out on German labels as Treibstoff, Konvex-Konkav, Salo, Trapez, and in Russia -- on Citadel Rec. We are proud to release these amazing 3 tracks from Alexei on Trenton. First 'Love': a killer deep minimal groovy tune with a poppy synth line that just stays into your head forever... Followed by Reynold's remix (half of Duplex100 and Trenton's owner). On B side 'Sex' is just this outstanding electro tech house track, definitely the dance-floor treat of that record! It is fat; it grooves and drives. Finally 'Psychic Kids' could actually be a dance remix of a Boards of Canada tune. A very strange and atmospheric cut to end a set... or to start it."
