"After his very well acclaimed debut on Orphanear with Jujuy&Salta and his impelling and chart-breaking remix for Tocotronic's latest 12" Imitationen, Pawel is back with the new 12" Gabriel on Orphanear. Both tracks provide the autumn soundtrack for deep and dark house-loving clubs all over the globe. The A-side with 'Gabriel' mixes classic house strings with some xylophone and bell sounds, known from Hamburg's scene around Dial and Smallville Records. These elements build up in beautiful layers to culminate in a furious, rather ironic break. The B-side with 'Early Bird' begins with an airy beat that brings Pawel's 2004 vocal house lover 'Grab It' back to mind. After the softer intro, the track mutates into a synth spiral whose home has already been defined by Pawel's 12" Ceramic. Some abandoned industrial city in the north of the United States.
