Martin Eyerer's & Namito's track "Ripcurl" sounds like a groovy visit to the dentist, with the subtle sound of a drill that bores its way into your mind slowly, making you scream. There is also a fantastic guitar break, great strings, a pumping bass-drum, a clever arrangement, and an Ahmet Sendil mix on the flipside. This remix is more tidy and more minimal than the original and a safe bet to play.

The cocoon of the Japanese silkworm is greenish, has an elongated oval shape, and after 8 days, it turns into a bewitching butterfly. Alexander Gerlach as Niconé presents three silky tracks for Kickboxer. "Omikoshi" is the result of a cooperation with Japanese DJ/producer Tazaka while touring through Japan. A unique blend of Berlin techno grooves and Japanese tradition; a gorgeous butterfly whose full, uplifting metamorphosis finally takes place on the dancefloor. Already tested and approved by well-known DJs, including a mix by Philip Bader.

"For the past three years, Allez-Allez have developed an enviable reputation as two of London's most in-demand and respected bloggers, DJs and remixers. Well received, forward thinking Allez-Allez remixes for the likes of Fever Ray, Simian Mobile Disco, Hot Chip and Telepathe are now followed by a debut single for Cologne's highly respected Kickboxer imprint. Part of Kompakt's associated labels, the track (entitled 'Defeatist') is a growling analogue peak time stormer, backed with 'Slump' a melancholic kraut epic described by Optimo's JD Twitch as sounding 'like Chris & Cosey riding a flying hoover over the city in Blade Runner.' The package features a slamming remix by Border Community's Ricardo Tobar, which has already been rocking the crowds from the record boxes of none other than BC boss James Holden and Krautronica master Four Tet now for some time! Also included are two rerubs by winners of the FOEM remix competition - Soundcaster and Karizmxxxx that twist the original into exciting new shapes for diverse dancefloors."

"Marascia is back on Boxer -- well, it's Kickboxer this time to be more precise. But that fits pretty good to these kicking tracks from the Sardinian artist. With 'Cyclo' & 'Nero Nero,' he created two darkish powerful techno tracks that work very well after all people left the parks and disappear in the clubs for the rest of the night and morning. The remix by The Dolphins is close to the original but adds some more groovy elements. Maybe influenced by the Bongo guys that used to play in the park during the day."

"He is back! Our most favorite Frank Martiniq! The man who made his long, rocky way from the old Warp school to the cultivated 4/4 bass drum. From Cologne via Detroit, to Beijing and back again to good old Cologne, carrying a heavy vinyl bag on his shoulders. But after this round-the-world trip, it was high time for him to start turning the little buttons at his studio in Cologne-Ehrenfeld again in order to present us and the rest of the world with two new, subtle and kicking tracks. Because his music is his fate, his life and his destiny, this man is music! In every single note, in every single beat, in every single heartbeat."

"The title Phonolulu might come along a bit flowery and cosy at first, but in the end, it is definitely not. Lauterhaus & Schulenburg's style, both based in Essen/Germany, can be best described as dark and dubby, technoid, rustic, coltish. And they take us with them on their transmigration from the perpetual ice to Purgatory and Hell. 'What I Trip' you would like to shout out loudly against the storm. Here are two unusual, off-the-mainstream tracks: far from any techno stomping or Boom Boom atmosphere, and far more than just two other mass-pleasing short-term products. You might have to listen to the tracks two or three times, but then, their inner strength will reveal. Beyond comprehension is their dub style, the depths, the abysses they are dealing with. Certainly a rather risky experiment in our times. But we love both tracks and would be really pleased if you would love them, too. Welcome to the perpetual ice."

"All you pyrotechnists among the high-voltage DJs out there... you'd better watch out: it's going to be hot! Really hot! Slaaf are Steve Lawler and Audiofly from the UK, aka Anthony Middleton & Luca Saporito. That's for facts and name dropping! Sound: maximum minimal! Effect: bombastic! Side effects: hot flash! The unofficial promo release was tested by international DJs on Ibiza (at Pacha), in the UK and the U.S. And now, both tracks will finally find their way into your meticulously conceived DJ sets, too. Last season, Audiofly and Scarlett Etienne already proven that they have the right timing for the right club tunes. And now, the co-operation with highly appreciated DJ and producer Steve Lawler results in dense sounds that are dark and erotic -- yet throughout house-y. A sound explosion for any dancefloor. So have your fire drencher ready, get your safety glasses on. Press PLAY!"

"We have no idea who's hiding behind Dusty Cabinets -- already known for the stunning dancefloor remixes DC did for Nathan Fake, Archie Bronson Outfit (Domino) or James Yorkston. All tracks are speaking their own language and are as incredibly international as a jet-setting professional from London, travelling with umbrella, charm and a bowler. From a smart & stylish 30-pounder hymn in best Playhouse style to a sunrise tribal on the Seychelles, Dusty Cabinets is moving along various longitudes and latitudes and is always well-set in the stylish club culture. Dusty Cabinets tracks can be found in the front row of Agoria's, Michael Mayer's and Laurent Garnier's record cases (and hard-disks, too)."

"Our Finn, also called Zentex, is obviously doing fine in Portugal. His sounds are getting more and more sophisticated, intelligent and rocking with every new demo version sent in by Jari Marjamäki. And now, before he is going on tour through South America, he comes up with three smooth, Balearic tracks that reveal their inherent energy in the course of the running time. Zentex presents three treasures where he skillfully combines the cool Scandinavian mentality with the hot-blooded Portuguese funkyness: rather straight in the beginning, later extremely funky and deep in the end. But wait until he will be back and adds all the experiences from his South-America trip... we will certainly have to change his name in 'Zentex Intercontinental'!"

"'Strange are the ways of the Lord'! Well, and so are the ones of the World Wide Web and MySpace... So it took only a few emails for Martin Eyerer, Oliver Koletzki and Kickboxer to create a nice axis Berlin-Stuttgart-Cologne. That's fun, easy and most refreshing for the audience. Martin, the man from South Germany is always on the go and he can look back on a number of impressing co-operations: Chopstick, Joachim Spieth, Namito, Toni Rios and most recently Gui Boratto, our most favourite South-American on Kompakt. On Kickboxer, he came up with the smashing track 'Mückenschwarm' he produced together with Oliver Koletzki in 2005. 'Granulum/Nimubs' are well-structured, pumping and extremely groovy. We love it and so do the notable DJs, according to all the positive feedbacks we have got so far. Here comes a great mixture of Swabian and Berlin tunes -- and nothing will go wrong. Keep on rocking, guys!"

"'Nicolas from Chartes, France is into techno music, but the focus is more on music. These four tracks are so incredibly sophisticated and highly entertaining that we have thrown him straight into our Boxer artist pool. His music is charming, full of melodies and the breaks are so well-placed that he will soon be among the hottest artists around. 'The Burglar' seems to come directly out of a Border Community's kitchen. 'Mad Is Mad' seems to be the funkiest track never produced by Delon & Dalcan. And 'French Pop' is simply perfect. Just watch the play lists in the next months and you will know what we are talking about. And finally, 'Puzzle Bubble' is just waiting for a licensing on Kompakt Pop."

"Scarlett Etienne, 23, is DJane & globetrotter from San Francisco. Scarlett is already beloved and famous in England (according to DJMAG UK, 2005), adored on Ibiza (Pacha & Space) for her great DJ sets and the Alter Ego club in Verona has become her living room in the meantime. To put a long story short: she is a real shooting star, like in a DJ's fairy tale. We could write many pages with whom and where she has been DJing, but that would go far beyond the scope of this here."

"Sean O'Neal from Philadelphia/USA is hosted by Kickboxer! And the other player who also joins in on the chain is Miguel Tutera/Santiago de Chile who launched his first solo 12" on Toys for Boys. Someone Else is definitely the master of first-class minimal sounds, co-founder of the famous Foundsound label. For Kickboxer, he has made a little pop-techno-minimal-rocking track: 'Peels'. It's charming, crispy, sexy and funky as hell. And he is more the Ronaldinho than the mertesacker type of guy among the producers. In the second half, everything it's more laid back. 'Sleep' is really deep. And there is no doubt who will be the winner of this thrilling game."

"Dear friends of Kickboxer, so here we are again, on a trip through the international cosmos of techno minimalism. This time, our final destination is Thessaloniki, Greece. It is amazing where all the demos are coming from these days. But it proves that the globalisation process has been completed, at least as far as music is concerned. Stratos, 26 years old and living in Thessaloniki is one of the few pioneers of Greek techno music who is not chasing fame and glory in other European metropolis yet. He presents three stunning minimal techno tracks: hefty, compact and straight to the point. Everything needed to end up in a great and stylish DJ set. It may sound a little bit vain or even prejudiced, but: we think this record is great and we will definitely play Stratos in our most favourite club."

"Dear friends of Kickboxer, Night On Earth is Paul Brtschitsch and André Galluzzi -- label owners of Taksi founded in 1996. And as far as 'Taxi' is concerned, we also remember Jim Jarmusch's stunning episodes work Night On Earth. This time however, it is not Tom Waits stirring up the scene, but Brtschitsch and Galluzzi. Here are only two episodes, both perfect for the club but each track speaks another language. On the one side, the melodious 'Cruxx' that reminds of Guido Schneider's best times in a rather crooked but still pressureful way. On the other side, the monotonous but powerful 'Rondell' including a clear announcement thanks to an integrated 'Punish the Violence' sample."

"After a Finnish artist from Portugal, Cologne-based Kickboxer headquarters would like to welcome a Greek from England and strictly speaking, from London. Kostas Tassopoulos aka Ekkohaus is a colleague of Argy (Pokerflat, Raum Musik), who, of course, is also Greek and a newcomer. So far so good. As far as the music is concerned, this 12" release offers a vast, universal spectrum: from the rocking hit 'Down With the Boys' to the 303 acid rush 'Denz Musik,' over the solid techno stomper 'Killer Bees' to the chill-out track 'Liebe.' This does not only sound really varied, but it definitely is. We love it, and you will certainly like it, too. That's for sure. So we will give the highest score for this first maxi 12" release to our London-based Greek."

"Shortly after the two earlier releases, Kickboxer proudly presents the third one: The Hidden Chardronnet Mixes, a record that has taken us by surprise and rather unexpectedly. Because 6 months ago, we asked Patrick to make one remix for Boxer, and he said: 'oh, oh, oh I am really busy at the moment, but just send the tracks over and I'll see what I can do. If something comes quickly across my mind, I'll do it.' And only 4 weeks later, we got -- believe it or not -- even 4 remixes! Three of these remixes were so stunning that next to the 'Tuning 03' contribution, we have decided to release another one. And here it is: two rocking remixes rising like a phoenix from the flames!"

"Zentex. The Finnish producer Jari Marjamäki. After his contribution for the Traum compilation Intercontinental V/A, he has finally made his long way back to Cologne and comes up with a 12" maxi release on Kickboxer. Jari Marjamäki presents his very own vision of minimal techno, paired with the typical Iberain flair. Vasco da Gama would have loved it if he did not die in 1524. With laid-back, minimal tunes to dance to anywhere, anytime, Zentex gives us the feeling of an everlasting summer; as if you spent the most beautiful hours of the day doing what you love. And when it comes to Jari, it's music, that's for sure. Soft harmonies, little whispering sounds of a gust of wind, like the summer sun glistening on the endless Atlantic ocean and waves of rumbling bass sounds melting on the beach."

"Kickboxer is related to Boxer. Two hefty minimal beats tap the first keg to kick off Bavarian Oktoberfest. Tangily and foamily, 'Still No Name' Christian Quast is tapping a lively bass line out of the zeitgeist's barrel, and weirdo drums and a mixture of quotations varying between house and rave tunes. It's like riding a roller coaster, it is a trip through old and new school, it's like going through the gorges of modern, fumbling minimalism up the the heights of old Chicago sounds on top of which the oppressed raver's heart is thumping faster, while reminiscing about good old times for a short while and then looking forward to the spectacular rush down again. But then, get out of the roller coaster and straight into the haunted house where Sub Static's and Karloff's label boss Falko Brocksieper throws over the sheet and whispers spooky effects and sounds into your ears. He shakes the grooves and rattles the cart and off we go, riding through the abyss of various circuit boards towards the beloved daylight. What a gorgeous day."
